Not as far as I'm aware, but you don't gain very many points for beating players at a lower rank than you—and if you lose, you lose a fuckton. The limit is your own capacity to continue winning and defending your spot.

What, my win rate? It could be better, but when you control for things like the hundreds of times you lose while learning new characters (which comes with the territory), I'd say having a positive win rate, albeit a small one, is pretty damn good.
Oh, I thought the LP or rank was something like elo or a skill-based ranking system.
Oh yeah, LP is basically that. It's a relatively simple system—the number of points you have is associated with a larger skill bracket (Rookie, Bronze, Super Bronze, Ultra Bronze, Silver, etc. etc. all the way up to Master), and online, you only get matched up with players who are at, one step above, or one step below your rank. 6000 is Super Gold, which is pretty okay. I'd rather have 8000 for how long I've been playing, but that still puts me within the top 5-10% of the entire playerbase. Master rank requires 30K, and this is where some of the best players in the world reside. The top-ranked online player right now has 41K.

I could try to beat Survival on hard and extreme, but I don't really feel like pulling my teeth out right now.
How much fight monies do you get from that?
For beating Hard, you get 10K. For Extreme, you get 20K, which is kind of outrageous. They should give you, like, 50K. You also get 1K for every level your character gains afterward, because your characters gain experience points as well.

again, i get the meaning behind it—but it just seems like something that could easily backfire
like why would you ever say that you've forgotten more things than somebody knows
just seems stupid if the target doesn't understand the implications

"you must be a lot of fun at parties" is pretty dumb too because you're giving the person credit, and it's an easy set up for things like "at least i get invited to parties," etc.
