Spoiler But then there's shit like Snoke dying like a fucking nobody
Spoiler this never happened Spoiler All of the different moments where they could have committed to something that pulls the rug out from under you but didn't are very obvious and I would've applauded them had they fully gone through with each and everyone but they don't, they copped out every time. Rey venturing to the dark side, KILLING fucking Leia, Rey going with Kylo's plan, killing Finn (that would've made the movie an instant 10/10), Kylo turning back to Ben, they could've done any of these things but chose not too. I hope they're lack of action on these was more caused by spending too much fucking time with the damn cruiser chase.
god all of those ideas are awful lmao

Now a lot of critics are saying TLJ is the best, even better than Empire.
I really can't understand how professional critics are saying this.
i can i guess that's why you're not a professional critic

Spoiler What did you think of Super-Leia?
And the completely pointless Finn sidequest
Spoiler Really stupid. Just like half the other things in the movie. The predictable hail mary in the opening fight. The fact that every important character comes close to dying but doesn't. (Leia in space, Poe with the explosion in the hangar, Finn with the execution, Rose with the speeder, Rey with Snoke). The "don't attack what you hate, save what you love". The everyone knows Luke is going to train her but let's spend the first half of the movie on her trying to convince him. The "wow we got locked up with a master code cracker just when we needed one?". The "wow it's the little kid who's going through the exact same thing Rose went through who now just happens to be where they're escaping". The "wow they're about to be arrested or killed when somehow BB8 and hackerman just so know where they are". The comic relief reactions when almost killed and the fate of the entire galaxy seems doomed but haha this is a natural response. The entire "our guns aren't accurate enough, we're just too slow and they're just too fast so we'll just do this for the next 18 hours" bullshit. And so, so much more.
Don't get me wrong, there was really good stuff too. The overall sound, visuals, action and plot. Finn and Rose meeting. The Rey + Kylo and Snoke moment. The admiral's plan and Finn's reaction / character development. Kylo becoming the Supreme Leader. Rey's parents actually being nobodies (subject to change, of course). But the bad stuff was so eye-rollingly bad that it actually annoyed me.
i highlighted the only things that matter in red the things that only half-mattered are highlighted in yellow

so, i just got back from TLJ
this was very very good, guys
i think this is probably my new favorite star wars movie
time to read 10 pages worth of your pitiful opinions about it
I've been hearing the opposite. Nobody thought it was good from friends and family.
that's because all your friends and family are fucking idiots

lmao who gets christmas presents
youre an adult
christmas is for the atmosphere and season, not strengthening of the pseudo-capitalist regime
what's "pseudo" capitalist about it it's bald-faced and in-your-face capitalism that said, some people still like buying shit for people regardless of if you like it or not

you have it backwards
the fact that sex is just a base desire that we'd be better off without is precisely why i hate the idea of "casual" sex and escorts and shit, and am all for trying to make it as meaningful as possible with someone truly special
it'll never work, but the absurdity of sex is that we can still try to find meaning in spite of that

I really hope we don't get one of those stupid apocalypse event things where everyone just fucking dies. I enjoy seeing people actually killing others individually
i think one is guaranteed

as hard as the internet has crusaded against anything remotely "edgy" over the past few years, i'm very confused as to why this manga has such a huge following

sometimes i do say "take it easy" if my friend was having a shitty day or something, or "take care" for elder family members
maybe when i grow a beard, gain 100 pounds, and turn 40, i'll start saying shit like "have a good one"

friends: peace, later, see ya, see ya later, talk to you later
family: bye or sometimes buh-bye, especially with my grandparents
i never say "love you" so that when i do, they know i mean it (the last time i did was when i departed for europe)

Why is Flash Gordon not making anyone's list? Or the Dolph Lungren Punisher movie
haven't seen them, and for my list i only included marvel and DC movies that i've seen otherwise, things get too blurry between what is and isn't a superhero movie

i agree with you 100% that it's wet for the reasons you stated, and i'm glad you brought up the single molecule corollary, because i think that's what drives the point home for me
this debate is similar to when people argue about whether certain vegetables are actually fruits, and vice-versa, because most people are very colloquial and only use the functional everyday definitions of words, regardless of whether they're technically correct
people who insist that tomatoes are vegetables aren't exactly wrong when we use them as culinary vegetables, but the people who insist that they are fruits are referring to the more scientifically-savvy botanical definition
i'd say this is similar, because the people who claim that water can't be wet are mostly just smart-asses who are using the most colloquial definition of "wet" possible, and then taking it as literally as possible
like, i heard someone try to tell me "it's like saying fire can burn itself," and i didn't quite know how to respond to that, even though it viscerally seems like a stupid comparison

Ranking an entire genre of film is kind of pointless, but some of my favorites are Unbreakable, Dredd, Hellboy, and The Incredibles.
i can think of several purposes comparing tastes being one of the more obvious ones

1<2=3<4 and that's when I stopped paying attention.
First season was absolute kino, two and three were serviceable, 4 is when the shift happened.
There are episodes in each season that are great but one or two episodes doesn't save a soap opera about zombies.
you went full retard

You went full retard.
either: 1.) deadpool is a terrible movie and you're stupid for enjoying it 2.) batman & robin is fucking hilarious and that alone is worth putting in a higher tier
