Just play the game and see?
oops, guessed wrong, ruined the whole game for myself

oh well!

Easy is there for kids or something who knows. But I don't agree, all the difficulties feel right. It also doesn't make sense that you respect the developers vision above all but now you're saying this should be that etc.
i'm not talking about how they "feel," i'm talking about how the game itself actually describes the settings

load up halo 3 and look at all the difficulty settings for the campaign, each one has a description

heroic will say:
"Fight against formidable foes that will truly test your skill and wits; this is the way Halo is meant to be played."

in other words, "if you're not playing halo on heroic, you're doing it wrong"

Judging by how angry, fast, and numerous your responses have been I don't think even you believe this type of stuff anymore.
but your responses are always angrier, faster, and more numerous
Eh that's just because I'm better than you, don't worry about it.
uh no i'm better than you actually thanks

do you not see how bungie phrasing it that way—"this is how Halo was MEANT to be played"—gives the player a sense of feeling "left out" if they decided to play on something else?

like oh i guess i'm not getting the true experience now because i reasonably assumed that normal was the way to go

Maybe you should stop asking people like a robot and just play the game on whatever difficulty you're comfortable with and if you're the type of person that enjoys a challenge play the harder difficulties.
i can't tell which difficulty i'll be most comfortable with unless i know what the differences between the difficulties are

i also don't care

tell me which one i'm supposed to play on

Quote
Also normal is obviously the default difficulty lol... it's called normal for a reason
tell that to bungie

they should've called heroic normal, and normal easy

because that's what i wound up playing on, and i hate that

You can't play a game wrong fucking lol bro what is wrong with you

Did you play the game? Yes? Then there's nothing more to it. You don't have to beat it on legendary, you don't have to play on anything you don't want to do. Just do whatever you want lmao.
what a retarded way of thinking

you realize by telling me to do whatever i want, you're trying to prevent me from doing the ONLY thing that i want, right

because i don't want to play games how i want to play them, i have no interest in that whatsoever

games are art, i want the artist's vision and nothing more or less than that
Shut up. You don't know what its even fucking like to have autism. You think I'm happy that I fucking have it? Guess what, I'm not. I never have been. I've had people tell me "oh you're unique, you're special" Its a load of bullshit. The only thing autism really does is it makes life a fuck of a lot harder. If people in real life didn't give a single fuck about me I would have killed myself ages ago. And that isn't being edgy, that's ending the fucking pain.
looks like i win again

"this is how i like to play games"
"i don't like how you play games, stop doing it that way"
"how should i play games then"
"you should play them however you want"

>he needs instructions delivered to him in an envelope from the developers to "play it how you're supposed to play"

OH NO NO NO NO
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes

this is all halo's fault, by the way

normally, i'd be content to assume that "normal" is the way to go, because why would you call it anything other than "normal" if that's not how the game is normally played

but then fucking halo 2 ruins that and says "heroic" is the way the game is meant to be played

so that means i played halo: CE wrong, basically

so it fucking sucks to know that i wasted my time playing a game incorrectly, and now i'm cursed to second-guess myself when choosing difficulties, because i don't want to play games incorrectly

>comparing getting an education to following rigid instructions
why can't you do it yourself though

i thought you were an independently minded smart person or something

because that's what you're saying, you should figure out everything yourself

on how to play a game instead of doing whatever you want and whatever you have more fun doing
FUCK fun

i AM doing whatever i want

what i want is to play on the difficulty that the developers intended for the game to be played on in a normal setting

that's what i want

i prefer there to be no difficulty levels

if they have to be there, i only wish that they'd make it clear which one the game is "meant" to be played on
"I need people to tell me how to do things"
that's how people work, you strange lonely person

automatically knowing how to do things by instinct? not how people work

just smoke cigarettes
it's what i do
Just when I thought you couldn't get any worse
what's wrong with smoking?
Everything. It's smells nasty, it yellows your teeth, it gives you wrinkles, and destroys your lungs.
First of all it smells great and though I can't defend the others I'm a hermit so it doesn't bother me.

Serious / being offended "for" people
« on: January 18, 2018, 03:24:11 PM »
the following statement has become an increasingly common sentiment spread by white conservatives to white liberals:

"[x minority group] does not need straight white people to get offended for them"

okay

so, at what point does having empathy for other human beings, and a desire to smash evil regardless of whatever or whoever it may be targeting, become a case of being offended "for" said target, and why does that matter/why is that a bad thing

because i'm really confused about this, and find the implications worrying

I made some nice tips for new players :) :) :)

What's the point of such malicious behavior?
i agree but what is the difference between doing this and leaving a misleading message in the game itself

just found out what happens when you accidentally overdraw your checking account, the hard way

my dad lost his job last night, too, and we may have to close the record shop because of it

life is beautiful

4434
even if that were true, that wouldn't mean anything
How so?
because you don't need to have worked to know when someone is doing a piss-poor job at something

what kind of shitty logic is that
You kind of need to though you retard.
so everything you've ever eaten has tasted wonderful because you're not a cook
knowing more about cooking now than I used to, I'm embarrassed at some of the things I used to like eating

in the company of people who are more versed than I am in the culinary, I am often still embarrassed at some of the things I consider good

being able to admit you don't know anything is a hallmark of wisdom
i'm talking about fucking up orders, serving raw or undercooked food that isn't meant to be raw or undercooked, etc.

actual mistakes, not "i don't personally enjoy the taste of this, so this is the chef's fault"

I am not knowledgeable or in agreement with the tenants of any specific ideology enough to choose to subscribe to it. I just show an interest in and abide by certain ideas and values.

With that said, communism has always looked particularly unappealing to me. What with the whole starving nations thing or being worked to death in a gulag because I disagree with the state.
none of those were actually communist
Sadly it's the only kind of "communist" humans will ever be capable of because we're flawed creatures and true Communism requires something more robotic.

Thus the whole "it's not real communism" as a counter argument to defending Communism, is sort of pointless anyway.
well my whole life philosophy is sort of built towards transcending what makes us human, because i consider it silly to just sit down and accept the fact that we're imperfect when i believe we have the tools to improve ourselves
Huh. That's possibly the coolest thing you've said ever,
if you look closely, all i ever say is cool shit
