I love Tay. She's a staple of my presentations about the dangers of machine learning. Got some really good quotes about the situation too.

People who will want to commit a mass shooting will still do it, and it will happen a lot more than it does now.

It's called the flea market.
Nice one.

Gun control debate = officially over.

also, chemical castration does not decrease sexual desire or fetishism, only your ability to ejaculate
Is this always true? It might depend on the method and chemicals used but I'm pretty sure that it can and is often intended to decrease libido.

I like how the left thinks abortion, drugs, and prostitution would be more dangerous and happen anyways if they stay illegal but this logic doesn’t apply to guns
the facebook left =/= the left
It's also just a poor comparison. An abortion can be performed anywhere with a metal tool or even just a bunch of pills and herbs. Drugs can be made or grown in your basement with the right knowledge and access to often common ingredients. And prostitution literally doesn't require anything more than just your body.

Guns on the other hand are complex tools that are difficult to make. There's a reason why criminals use glocks, sigs and S&W's that are legally made and distributed. Unlike with drugs or prostitution, there's virtually no underground criminal gun factories making fake, high quality and name brand guns. While criminals do sometimes have makeshift guns, they're unreliable, inaccurate and shit to use. I feel like I've said this a hundred times already but it's the legal market in firearms that directly fuels their illegal trade and criminals getting their hands on them. There's substantial evidence that by limiting the legal access to guns and cleaning up the ones in illegal circulation drives up prices and makes them less available to and used by criminals.

Apples and oranges, pretty much.

Next big purchase I'm thinking about is a camera. I've been wanting to get back into photography for a while now. Not sure what to get at this point though, gotta do some reading.
Someone who runs a professional photography blog recommended the Fujifilm X-T2 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 18-55mm F2.8-4.0 R LM OIS Lens to me. I don't really feel like doing any research so I'm just going to save up to get this, probably will be the next thing I purchase.
Why mirrorless?
No idea, I just know the camera takes good pictures.
Eh, I think I'm gonna stick with DSLR for the time being.
Just did some searching, apparently it's about camera size. A mirrorless camera doesn't need to contain mirrors, so it can be made a lot smaller. I think the mirror is what you actually use look through the camera to see what is going on in front of you like in old fashion cameras. I have no idea though, I just did some quick googling because I'm curious too. It looks like mirrorless is superior.
It's kind of debatable. The mirror isn't what you think - that's called the viewfinder. Plenty of mirrorless cameras still have one of those. The mirror is what reflects the light either into the viewfinder or onto the sensor, which is why you get that split second of darkness when you take a picture with a film or DLSR camera. The main benefits that mirrorless offers is that they can be smaller / lighter and have better video capabilities (4K/60fps) even on lower-end kits. The biggest downsides is that their battery drains a lot quicker, that there's not that many lenses available for them (yet) and that they're often more expensive than DSLR's offering pretty much the exact same thing. For me it's the lack of lenses that's the biggest issue. I also like the weight and feel of the DSLR much more (the mirrorless I've held feel more like those rectangular point-and-shoot cameras than serious gear) and am a big fan of Canon/Nikon - neither of which have embraced mirrorless yet.

Mirrorless is going to be the future and be superior at some point but I don't think we're there yet. In your case, I probably would advise getting the one your friend suggested.
The one my friend suggested? Which one is that? Also, what the fuck do lenses even do?
Scrolling back up you never said he was your friend, but I assumed the guy you know who runs the photography blog was. He recommended you the Fujifilm X-T2 which started this whole conversation.

Lenses are the things you put on your camera to actually capture the shot. Without a lens, you'd just get a white picture because you flood the sensor with light. The lens is what you aim at something so that it captures the light in a focused way and directs it onto the sensor to actually take a picture of what you're looking at. They exist in all shapes and sizes with different properties for different purposes. Telelenses are used to zoom in like a telescope, macrolenses for extreme close-ups. Some lenses are made for low-light environments, others are made with specific apertures (creating different degrees of "bluriness" of the background), shutter speeds or focal lengths in mind. The one your friend suggested (18-55mm with f2.8-4) is pretty standard and all-purpose, for example.

why waste chemicals? just use some rusty shears and leave the human scum to rot.
Basic human rights and stuff. Kinda important.
But those don't actually exist.
Would it matter if they didn't? I mean, just because they're a construct doesn't mean that they're not there.

this guy really isn't that funny
mad because he BTFO Dark Souls' "storytelling"😏😏😏
yeah dark souls is shit but this guy isn't funny though
Never understood his appeal either. He isn't funny at all and his shtick is the exact same in every video I've seen of him. Talk in the most monotone voice you can muster and refer to everything by stringing together random and vulgar words and swears.

Chally, this guy is the kind of stuff the Fortnite audience goes crazy over. Surely you don't too?

Wouldn't they still be able to experience sexual pleasure? Does chemical castration kill your libido on top of your ability to reproduce?
Yeah, reducing libido is a key goal of chemical castration in this context. But from what I remember from my criminology classes way back when, it's actually contested whether it works well.

Are you really gonna castrate a guy over his taste in anime girls?
How is this a question.
A guy liking anime girls is probably the single best reason for chemical castration I can think of tbh.

Getting close to that 400 followers and hitting some pretty good viewer counts every so often (usually involving a friendly host from people I know though). And it looks like I might be able to cast in two of the official tournaments listed above so that'll be great.

I really, really, really like this hilarious gif you found. Can I save it?

except you can only choose two of those things

so, which ones

the one you don't choose will be corrupted into its logical opposite extreme:

if you're not good, you're terrible
if it doesn't make you money, then you'll struggle to survive
if you don't love it, you absolutely hate it
Money and I love doing it. As Das said, clearly other people seem to appreciate it enough to pay me so I'm fine with sucking.

I'm alright, but stressed out and overworked. My job comes with a lot of responsibilities and people depending on me. Lots of deadlines and last minute tasks to do. Gotta go back to Greece next month and then London for work as well. Also under a lot of pressure to get my PhD grant and approval done.

Not to mention being the number 1 quake champions streamer.
That too of course, though the Quake stuff is just a lot of fun. The rest not so much. A lot of people expect great things of me and, as much as I want to live up to it all, that's a lot of pressure and so much that can fail.

You got this, use your quake skills to your advantage.
Just huwa-huwa-huwa your way to success.
Spoiler
That's how jumping sounds in quake
Did you just assume my Quake jumping sounds?
