It isn't all that bad up here in good 'ol Montana. Walking into Albertsons the customers are made up of farmers, Hutterites, and townsfolk. Every once and while there's a whale that somehow made it's way inland. Thank god there isn't a self sustained population at this altitude.
This happened in an Albertson's.
Where were you in 'Merika anyway?
Towards the south of Montana.

Good luck with whatever choice you make. You seem like a genuinely nice person so you deserve it more than most.

Best soundtrack? No idea.
Best rendition of the theme song? 1943. I love the "choppiness", by a lack of a better word.

Wasn't Walmart, it was an Albertson's.

>doing America wrong
Oh I have been to Costco a few times. Their pizza wasn't all that bad for the 9 dollars paid for it.

atheists just think exorcisms, demons, and shit like that are fake
Pretty much this, although I know plenty of theists who don't believe in that kind of stuff either.

Brownies. Okay cartoon with nice animation. Fantom went to shit really fast
What's wrong with brownies?  :(
Fuck auto correct. Bronies. Fandoms ruin everything.

I work in an American grocery store.  How do you think I feel?
Which one? I've heard that some (Walmart comes to mind) are more notorious than others.

« on: September 16, 2014, 10:22:06 PM »
Very much so, although I would not always group it under completely ruined. Sure, there's things that the fandom completely devastated beyond repair (Dr Who, pretty much all anime, Sonic...), but usually they just tend to make things a whole lot less enjoyable. Destiny, bronies, Avatar, Minecraft and Breaking Bad are all fine examples of the latter.

Not sure if serious.
The obvious exaggerations like the extended clip full auto assault rifle and the EU propaganda aside, I was being completely serious. I did run into this colorful duo at Albertson's yesterday.

I still don't get the "Americlaps" thing.
"Refers to their perceived tendency for being very easily amused and clapping at inappropriate times", according to Urban Dictionary. As far as I know, Americans clapping is a stereotype that became an internet standard by a bunch of videos about Americans clapping at things. It doesn't make much sense nor does it have a lot of truth to it, but it got picked up by the internet that way.

>extended clip

I have no idea what that is
Everyone knows that a clip is the part of the gun you put your 50cals in. An extended clip means more bullets fired when you pull the trigger, so it's dangerous for school shootings.

>in dire need of salad (very not American of me, I know) for yesterday's dinner
>making my way down town, walking fast

>all of a sudden, out of nowhere, a morbidly obese man rounds the corner
>probably well over 400 kilograms (that's around 3200 quarter pounders with cheese or whatever crazy measurement you Americlaps use)
>I can smell his stench of sweat as he slowly wobbles past me
>a shirt the size of the blanket to a king sized bed
>reads "JESUS SAVES AMERICA" printed on an American flag
>picture of the extended clip full auto remington 900 Assault Rifle on the back with the caption "over my cold dead body"
>besides him, an obese kid that looked almost identical to the child on Two and a Half Men
>yolo swag cap on backwards
>BEATS BY DRE around his neck, blasting some shitty pop song for everyone to hear
>can't help but stare until they wobble out of sight

>mfw these people actually exist
>mfw it isn't just propaganda from our Great Leaders of the EU

An eye opening experience this trip has been.

« on: September 16, 2014, 11:54:08 AM »
You can't trade with other players, but I believe you can trade between your own characters. Items you put in the vaults in the Tower should be accessible by all your characters.

Now commence the hate, shit flinging, or whatever
No hate, shit flinging or whatever, but it seems to me like you have a pretty bad case of severe bias to justify spending a 150 dollars on a disappointing game and a plastic toy. It's also the reason a lot of these petty console wars still exist, people who spend quite a bit of money on something will try to defend and justify their purchase. Makes it hard to take a lot of the praise you give the game seriously.

I'm level 20 and only have the final story mission left to do, and so far Destiny's story was a real letdown. Boring, cliche, predictable, unimaginative and poorly presented. 4/10, would not play again.

« on: September 14, 2014, 12:30:34 PM »
if your parents were pro abortion, you wouldn't even be here to argue about this.
That really is a stupid thing to say. No one is "pro abortion". People are either pro choice, meaning that to some extent they support others' right to choose whether or not they have an abortion, or pro life, meaning that they oppose abortion in (almost) all cases.
I dunno, Verb seems pretty pro-abortion to me.
Well that's Verbatim. He's excluded and just himself.

You're making it seem like there's people who just love getting abortions and will end every pregnancy with an abortion. That is of course utterly retarded, since there's other and more preferable ways of preventing pregnancy.

I would be happy to just get past the fucking title screen at this point. I do not care how shitty the game is, just fix the damn servers and allow me to actually play it so I can feel like I got at least something out of my $60.
You have to be online to play?
Yep, Destiny is always online. Lose connection for as much as a fraction of a second and you'll be booted right out of any mission or match you were in. Back to the start you go.

Gaming / Re: Destiny Codes
« on: September 12, 2014, 10:29:00 PM »
I'm kinda confused because I entered all these before I picked up the game but don't have any of these...and I can't punch in the codes anymore.
Did you pick them up in the store in-game? You have to "buy" them for the price of 1 glimmer or whatever it is.
Oh you mean you don't get them from the postmaster? Who then?
]The Special Orders Vendor, it's the one dead in front of you when you enter the Tower. It's part of the same little buliding the postmaster is in.Talk to the person and it should give you the option to buy the emblems you unlocked.

Gaming / Re: Destiny Codes
« on: September 12, 2014, 10:26:49 PM »
Not sure how many of you care or don't already know about this, but here's a compilation of (as far as I'm aware) all known and public Destiny codes to be entered on Bungie.net. Just go to the Bnet code redemption page, sign in with your account and enter the codes. You can then claim your "rewards" from the specialties store in the Tower. I didn't make this but I figured it was worth sharing anyways.

What do these do exactly? I don't have the game yet so I don't know.
The Grimoire ones give you background stories and information about the game's lore and the banner/emblem ones give you access to new emblems and banners to use on your nameplate (think of them as nameplates, emblems and colors in Halo, only in Destiny you can't create your own but have to unlock them instead).
