It's how good the gunplay and graphics are in Halo 4, there I was trying to keep the idea alive that 1,2,3 were far far better than 4, but all the MCC serves to do is highlight the sheer chasm in terms of polish and overall quality. Oh, and H4 isn't so bad when you play it like Halo 2 btw, if you ignore sprint it helps

Seriously, it's buttery smooth, the lighting is gorgeous, the fact the guns utilise the impulse triggers fixes the original's emptiness and the elimination of the shitty netcode means online is glorious (when the MCC itself works that is). It actually looks better than H2A IMO, whilst the graphics are clearly inferior everything has so much more stuff and the quality and scale of everything is far greater

Halo 5 is a modern take on Halo 2, the new abilities turn the stupidity of H4 back to the measured, chess-like 1v1s of Halo past, they have clearly taken onboard a lot of stuff with the return of the SMG, a H2 inspired Magnum and the re-instalment of the Battle Rifle as the go-to primary. The fact that you exit "smart scope" when you are hit is a very big thing, if 343 hadn't learnt from H4 then it'd be a flat-out ADS system, if they wanted to copy CoD they wouldn't have it so vaulting/grabbing ledges required you to press A. I am concerned about how he says the controls feel, but I guess that's why we are getting a proper beta. Discuss

Face it, you blinded nostalgic fools, Halo Reach is the pinnacle of Halo MP, with a damn solid Campaign. It has everything Halo 1-3 has but improves it, mixes in modern features and abilities to strengthen the formula, the maps are superb, it has the best theatre and forge and introduces the dmr-which in turn gave us dmr SWAT, the greatest game mode apart from infection and slayer
If Halo 5 can match it then we would be lucky

Tbh, it looks great, it still looks exactly like Halo, not CoD. The way it's played is exactly as you'd play Halo 1-3, using jumping (and now side-thrusting) to beat people in 1v1 situations, weapons are still excellent without scoping and every one of the new abilities is something Spartans should really have been capable of this entire time.
Yes, the traversal is slightly akin to Destiny or maybe CoD, but that fixes Halo 4's awfully boring gameplay, it's clear to see the additions will make close-quarters battles very interesting, just as Halo 2 and Halo 3 did.

The word is truly justified by Sunset Overdrive, i've been playing it all morning and I can safely say it's the best open-world game i've ever played, aside from GTA:SA. It reminds me of Crackdown, but minus the boring missions, lack of humour, terrible traversal system and no storyline.

2011: After the release of Reach, new Halo fans flock to the Bungie forums. Some get through to the Flood. More Halo fanboys arise. War breaks loose.
2012: Bungie announces their new IP. This new IP will launch on all platforms. This brings new fanbases from all consoles alike to the site to discuss Bungie's new IP.
Early 2013: Fanboys on all forums launch their collective threads, pouncing on every other console other than their preferred platform.
2014: War breaks out amongst the Flood. Every user takes a side. Trolls seek opportunity as the Mods are busy containing the fuss. Random nimps, rickrolls, and Justin Bieber links rise across the board. Hell is upon us.
Late 2014: The Flood is nothing less than a empty wasteland. War has ended, and very few remain.
2015: Those smart ones who never took sides in the fanboy war rise amongst the aftermath. They seek no reason to stay as nearly everyone else has left the site. They flock to other gaming communites.
2017: Bungie, unaware until now of the war, cans their new IP. They have no fanbase and no one to make a game for. All members of Bungie have now joined various other game producing companies.
And, thus, Bungie and their community is no more. Remember these days as they are golden. Can tell the future, this deserves a re-post, because not only is the sequence of events spot on, but the timing too. This shall be our holy prophecy and we shall search for the chosen one
