You're right about that. It's a good thing I'm not a lawmaker, because I don't have any answers to what we should do about that. I just know that doing nothing like we did in Ford's case, sends exactly the wrong message to women across the country.

There's an argument to be made about women being already untrusting of the system and potential punishment, regardless of how infrequently it's unjustified, could deter them from speaking up.

I think this whole rape culture argument in America is just a big misunderstanding. Nobody is saying they won’t listen to women if they come forward but women can’t come forward and expect to be listened to without question

Sometimes there isn't evidence. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen. You have a very naive understanding of the situation. I would say less than 5% of the "Rape Culture" problem can be attributed to women needing to take more responsibility for reporting and tracking sexual harassment and assault. But that's kind of what the #MeToo movement is about.

The problem with this entire situation is that the only people who know the truth have different stories. Someone is lying and it's not fair to point fingers at the person you suspect on a hunch.

I don't get your point. I'm not a judge, I'm a person who almost exclusives thinks on his instincts. It's similar to the OJ verdict where everyone knows he did it even though the courts proved him innocent. The "Court of Public Opinion," as it were. If I was a judge, even if I felt as I do, I would still want a full impartial investigation into the matter. Fuck, I still want that and I'm not a judge. I even admitted earlier that if he was proven innocent after a legitimate investigation I would accept those results and eat my words.

There is literally no way to prove what happened that night and eyewitness testimony from four decades ago is not going to convince an impartial governing body.

People get convicted of crimes all the time without that kind of evidence.

What exactly are you hoping the FBI will find?

Something to force at least one more person to consider voting to deny Kavanaugh, truthfully. I just wanted to see an actual investigation like what we're seeing Mueller do.
