Report system is done!

Any Ninja / user with moderation privileges on the board the post exists in will get an alert. Any mod can then close the report or take action on the post (both of which close the report).

Thread tools are mostly done! I just need to add the option to delete threads for mods. For users: I'm introducing a new mechanic. You will be able to disavow a thread in order to basically scrub it from your account. I was having trouble figuring out what was fair (because I want users to have 100% control over if their content exists on the site), and letting users delete their thread would let them basically delete other users' posts.

With disavow: the thread owner changes from you to ... nobody. It belongs to user 0 (deleted / anonymous). It also deletes your OP. This keeps all other posts in the thread; the OP just gets nuked.

What style for staff do you like more btw? The first is the current implementation and the second is based off the OG / 2.0 colors.

I live rent-free, have recently been to jail, and live to see the downfall of America. I'd say I'm doing pretty well.

Late, but why jail?

Alerts are done 100%.

I also got board / thread settings at least mostly in place. The only things really missing from the forum stuff that is critical are a report system and a few moderation tools (delete thread, moderate user, etc.) as well as profile pages for navigating to something like u/cheat.

I mentioned this but you can tag people in posts:

Once I get the above stuff done I'm going to push through the alpha. PMs / groups will be done post-launch.

I Saw The TV Glow

I won't bother reviewing because I feel like this is a movie that either you completely love or you are completely 'meh' about. I was completely devastated at the end of this film and felt like I was having panic attacks throughout; I had to do a rewatch to catch everything. If you're into stuff like The OA, mind bending stuff, or are part of the LGBT world you gotta try this film.

Netflix's The Lincoln Lawyer is a pretty stellar adaptation of the original novel. The 2011 film told the story of The Brass Verdict, but did little to make Mickey Haller appear the way he's presented in the books. In contrast, this new series hits all the marks, and I honestly felt nostalgia from when I was like 14 and my Dad got me that book.

In short, the movie didn't hit the mark for me (they didn't even get the protagonist's ethnicity right), but the Netflix series did. I'm only partway through season two, but it's a banger for sure.

Dune Part Two was the undisputed MOTY for me, to no surprise. First movie since Infinity War that actually lived up to the hype and exceeded it. Villeneuve is going to top Nolan as the best modern director at this rate. Dude's on a generational streak.

Furiosa was a bit meh for me. I know they had budget limitations but they relied way too heavily on the CGI for it to even come close to the action calibre of Fury Road. Chris Hemsworth stole the show though.

Civil War was also enjoyable. Would've liked a bit more exploration into the root cause of the actual war, but it was a generally pretty solid war drama with a sweet action sequence at the end.

I agree Furiosa was disappointing

Didn't really like Anya Taylor Joy as Furiosa
And definitely way too much CGI
Although this might just have been because Fury Road spoiled us with great practical effects

Also the war between Immortan Joe and Dementus was shown in a 3O second montage
Like bruh that was the most interesting part of the movie and it was just glossed over

Either way, sad to see the flop means Mad Max The Wasteland will potentially get pushed back or not happen
