I present to you the easily superior card and card game.
Magic The Gathering is equally as broken from what i hear. There's apparently cards that can remove all of your opponent's mana from the game.
I usually just use Crackling Doom + Howl of the Horde to kill everything.
I love a good ol lategame Twincast+Howl of the Horde+any spell that deals X damage to player. The most Ive gotten is a good 30 damage after casting it 6 times.
And I player EDH/commander sooo. ....
I tried commander one, meh
Its the last competitive type that stays consistent to a sense. I work 5 days a week. I can leave my deck for a month and its good to go. Standard... some things roll out of rotation and you have to rebuild, not to mention some who dont do anything else with their time and build/buy decks that stomp anything you casually put together.
Then you'd suggest Modern, but I've seen what some make and I may as well just kill myself.
Oh, right. I see your point. I played quite a bit of standard last year and got a fuck load of cards, and I've kinda stopped playing, sitting here on a mountain of cards...
Thats why I went to Commander, all those cards are fair game. You can get a pretty good preconstructed EDH deck at any good game store to get you started, and the newer ones are pretty decent.
I've got the blue commander deck with the blue monk guy, maybe I could give it another go.

There is a few mono blue decks that are really good. The commander is
 and you primarily consist the deck full of wizards to draw cards, counter spell, deny control for anyone else. The more expensive ones have the extra turn spells. So it can get pretty out of hand.
That sounds right up my alley. My main was a Jeskai deck, I might give it another shot. Can I still use my Khans of Tarkir set though? If not I'll try Commander
