Nah, I love games like New Vegas and Breath of the Wild since they have lots of variety, fun characters and stuff to find. Elden Ring just feels tedious and not at all enticing to explore. Souls was awesome because it was more of a structured yet branching world that nudged you along the way with a gradual difficulty curve and lots of cool stuff to find along the way. Elden Ring just feels like a bunch of bullshit that isn't fun at all to experience. And I say this as someone who LOVES Souls. It sucks to see.
Every encounter/dungeon feels like Souls to me. Things are just more spread out.

Ye and I hate it being so spread out lol. Just doesn't jive with me at all, I don't wanna have to go out of my way for 6 hours to find a new estus flask or a stone to make my sword a bit better. I went right back to good old Souls and immediately had a way better time.

I won't lie, I had some great times here. Bnet was my first proper experience with an online Community and the 2010s were golden. The Coup Group pretty much became my second home, I used to love hanging out with Sapphire, Nero Lord, Teh Chaz, Panho etc.

When Destiny happened and the place went tits up this place was a great offshoot where I got to hang out with faces I recognised and new ones that I didn't. Made plenty of new memories here like the MGSV hype thread, Roman's booty quest, the card game etc. Those will never go away.

I've found myself a bit less interested in visiting for the past few years though, I'm not sure if it's the lack of activity not motivating me or that I just can't get much joy out of a forum. People drift away, new faces come and go and while it's nice to see some of the same people here still posting, I dunno, I just don't feel much of an urge anymore. I hope everyone is doing well though!

One of my managers in Epcot absolutely raved about the show so I gave it a go; it's way better than I thought it was going to be. I don't want to get too invested into it though until the manga finishes; I don't want another Berserk situation with cliffhangers....

You'll be waiting a while then. I thought the point that the anime left off wasn't too clifferhangery.

speeding through a show just because it's LONG seems like a bad idea to me anyway, especially if you're not super into it

you should be enjoying the show you're watching on some level—not watching it just to get it over with
Wonder how you'd react to the Chimera Ant Arc in HxH lol
how many episodes would i need to watch to make it to this arc
In the 2011 anime, the arc begins with Episode 76 and ends at Episode 136.

After having it recommended to me for years, a few weeks ago I decided to just dive into it and see if I enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised by what I initially expected to be your average run-of-the-mill shounen with a plucky young protagonist eventually morphing into something far darker and engrossing. By the Yorknew City arc I was hooked, and then by the end of the Chimera Anr arc I was gobsmacked. Some people really haaaaated how much it dragged on and the supposed unnecessary time spent on side characters, but fuckem I really liked it. I'm still reading the manga so the giant walls of text haven't cropped up yet.

So yeah uh I guess have any of you folks read/watched it? What did you think? It's definitely up there with my favorites.

The second ED is straight fire.

Is it me or was OP MIA for the past two/three years?
I remember his last post was kind of dark and he was not in a good place.

Are you doing better, Boss?

Yeah it's all good, I just drift in and out of internet places lol

One of the most boring games I've ever played. Everyone said it was some incredible game that was worth playing but I found it dreadfully dull.

Hope everyone is doing well. I've just been reading a lot and sitting on my ass watching tv and playing vidya. What's everyone else up to? I don't even know who's around anymore. Are people like Snake, TBlocks and Challenger still knocking about?

The Flood / Re: What shows have you been watching lately?

Honestly nothing new is really grabbing my attention at this moment in time. I got into the first season of Last Kingdom if you're into historical Anglo Saxon and Viking aesthetics but my interests started waning in season 2 and haven't really picked it back up again.

I rewatched The Terror (more historical kino set in the Victorian era) which isn't a new show, but still remains really good. It has Master and Commander vibes with early GoT internal scheming and politics if that's your kind of scene. Also has various supernatural elements going on as well.

I read most of the book series that The Last Kingdom is based on a few years ago, was a good read but I got a bit bored of it just being Uhtred being betrayed and failing to get Bebbanburg over and over again. The show was pretty cool but it lost my interest too lol

Since I've been stuck in during lockdown I've been looking for stuff to watch. I really enjoyed The Boys, and just started the second season of Future Man.

I caved and bought Siege Shockwave. I feel so dirty because it's a Voyager with armor that I don't even like but I really wanted it...
he still looks pretty good if you just hide that armour away in a box

I want to see if I can fit it on anyone else lol

Ordered TR Overlord too. It's not entirely accurate to his IDW representation, but since the TR one is £40 and the Mastermind Creations one is like £200 I don't really care
