I'll probably do a complete write up of my thoughts at some point, but for now my main problem is just how easy it is. Pokemon games have never really been challenging but ORAS feels insultingly easy, I had a team of 7 in my first playthrough, never used the EXP Share and very rarely used mega evolutions and I was just able to steamroll through the game.
There are things like being able to get Pokemon with egg moves through Dexnav (Brave Bird Tailow is disgustingly good early game), you get a legendary for free halfway through the game, you get taken around the region at points where I may not want too (after rescuing Professor Cozmo, or beating Norman), etc.
My favourite thing is that there's a Route (112 I think) where your Rival heals you, you go through the Fiery Path that has no trainers, the route after that, Route 111 has a house to heal in, then you go on to Route 113 and your Rival is there to heal you yet again.
To be fair it gave us ORAS Courtney and she's best girl
I get what you mean though. They did make it really super easy. I still found it really good though, I found it to be really well done. The bonus stuff like Sea Mauville's story and the Delta Episode really gave it the edge over the past few gens imo.
I did like the story stuff honestly, it's nice and adds a bit more context to the world. Kinda reminded me of the legends in Sinnoh.
Yea, and the battling's the best it's ever been. I love the 3D.

The main series Pokemon games have been good but they've become a bit casual in the most recent generation.

I agree What I do is have another Sep7agon tab with one of my posts in it, and refresh it when I upload the avatar to see how it looks
