These are the rules I made for my uni project, I could tweak it to fit Sep7.

BREAKTIME is a card game designed to be played during the break time at work.  Break time usually ranges from 15-30 minutes,  and the lunch break is usually an hour so the game is designed to keep the player busy during the often boring time. The player can choose a time limit that they can set to the game, so the game doesn’t drag on for too long and make them miss their clock-in. For the shorter break, the game has a 15-minute time limit, and a 40-45 minute time limit during lunch break. The rules of the game can also vary depending on the time limit. For the shorter break the game is simplified with less complex mechanics.
 
Both players start with 1000 Resource points (RP) and the main objective is to reduce the foe’s RP to 0 and /or clear their deck of all Worker cards. If the time limit is reached before a player has been defeated then the player with the most remaining RP is the winner. When a player’s RP reaches 0, they have a final chance of playing the cards from their hand, but this may only occur during the extended game period.  Each card costs a set number of RP to bring in to play, with the more powerful cards costing more RP. There is a risk and reward theme in the game, with different strategies and options open to the more strategic players.

When a card is used or defeated, it gets sent to The Bus Shelter, a designated space to the side of the games where players place their used up cards.
 
Both players have a deck of 30 cards, consisting of 4 different type of card:

Worker
The traditional ‘monster’ card that can be played during your turn and is used to perform various actions on the field.  It opposes the foe’s worker card. You can have up to 3 on your side of the field at any time.  Worker cards are used for attacking the foe’s RP directly, and defending your own RP.

Workers have 2 different attributes, Strength (STR) and Motivation (MTV). Strength determines how much damage you inflict on the foe’s RP or Worker card. Motivation determines how much damage the card can withstand before it gets sent to the Bus Shelter.
Worker cards have three different stages, beginning with Employee, who can be elevated to a higher status when the right conditions are met.
  -Employees
  -Managers
  -Executives

A bonus type of card, Intern can also be played. Interns cost no RP, but lack bonus effects and are quite weak. However, they are useful for a quick defence of one’s own RP.



Intervention
The traditional ‘trap’ card that can be played at any time, even during the foe’s turn. Intervention cards are instantaneous, single use actions that are designed to disrupt the foe’s action in some way, or you can play it during your turn if the card’s effect will benefit you more when played during your own.

Action
Similar to an intervention card, an action card is a single-use effect card that can be played during your turn. It cannot be used during the same turn that you have used an Intervention, however. It is best plan whether you want to use an Action card, or hold off and use an Intervention card during your foe’s turn.


Different Rules
During the shorter breaks, a less-complex, more straightforward game can be played. During this game, only 20 cards are in a player’s deck and cards no longer cost RP to play. The objective of the game is still to lower the foe’s RP to 0.

I was lying on the couch bored out of my mind so I flexed my brain muscles in an attempt to quench my ever growing boredom.  I remembered that there was a brothel as few doors down, so I decided to pay the fine establishment a visit, no harm in that.

I slid into my jim jams and pulled on my puffy coat and went for a nice late night stroll to my destination. I noticed that there was a shady guy hanging around the area so I waited a little while outside the door, staring at my phone screen in an attempt to look busy. After what seemed like 3 hours, he fucked off somewhere so I seized my chance and entered the building.

I was in some kind of dimly lit porch with a heavy wooden door and a buzzer next to it. At this point the situation really kicked into my mind and I realized I'm walking into a fucking brothel.' But I said screw it why not, so I pressed the buzzer. Shortly after, the buzzer buzzed and the door was unlocked. I pushed it open, my heart thumping up and down my throat, and slowly willed myself to enter.

It looked like something out of a 1970s porno, with dark red wallpaper and weird vases placed on tables. I walked up the dark stairs and saw an old woman sitting by a desk, obviously the receptionist. She looked like the type of lady you'd see working as a dinner lady at a school. She said hello and told me to go take a seat over in the corner. I sat down on one of the comfy red leather chairs, beginning to feel a bit nervous. I'm not coming here for sex, I just walked in because I was bored and oh my god what is going to happen?

The door at the end of the hallway opens and in walks some tall, black woman wearing lingerie who smiles at me and says 'Hi, how are you?'

I just sat there blankly and responded with 'Yeah I'm alright like' and gave a weak smile.

She then left, another woman walked out, bit smaller and white. She again asked 'Hello, how are you?'

All I could manage was 'Yeh'

So that happened a few more times, until the old woman came up to me and asked me what I wanted. I asked her what she meant and she told me that it was £40 for oral sex, and £60 for intercourse. At this point I realized that I should probably leave before things get weird so I told her that I was there to see a friend. She said 'Well, they need to be here, you can't just send someone else to do it for them' and I just nodded and said 'Yeah I know' with some mouth movement that somewhat resembled a cheeky grin and got up and jogged away.

what are the rules gonna be for the game?

I like the life point system from Yu Gi Oh, the goal is to lower the opposing team's points to 0.

If we can't come up with anything then I might just work my Uni card game rules into it.

Let me be first to say that user's profile pictures should be the card covers, that way they are all unique and easily recognisable.

Also base it off an already succssful card game like mtg or heartstone. Creating an entire card game from scratch is too difficult and will likely be unfun and shit use a template.

Get each user to submit an image they want to use to represent themselves, then art-ify them so there's a consistent style.

Let's have some fun, peeps!


The main objective is to get the other user permabanned by banning all of their Member cards banned, or getting all of their Thread cards locked.

Member Cards

Member cards all have two stats:
Argumentation (ARG)
Rage Threshold (RT)

In addition, every Member card will have some sort of effect that you can activate when you bring them on to the field (AKA Logging in). This will range from buffing other cards, to getting rid of certain opposing cards. Member cards may also choose to jump in the way of an attack that is directed at another card, taking the damage instead. This is known as a 'Flame Shield' and the foe's attack will do an extra 10% damage to the Flame Shield user.

Members come in three levels:

-User
-Mod (Mods can lock and unlock threads at will. Performing this action takes up the mod's turn, however so do so at your own risk)
-Architects (Cannot be damaged by Incident cards with the exception of cards that affect everyone at once. They may only attack once every other turn.)

There are two different types of user, Shitposter and Quality Poster. I will go into this in more detail in the Thread Card section below.


Here is an example of a user card. I'm not a fan of shitposting, so I took this into consideration when making the effect.

Thread Cards
Thread Cards function similarly to Lands from MTG, with which you can play them to give yourself a bit of a boost. Thread Cards will provide you with a different way to play, though creating a Thread will have both a Positive and a Negative side effect, so choose carefully. Mod cards and Admin cards can lock Threads on sight, so be prepared.

Thread Cards come in two different flavors: Shitposting and Quality Discussion . When a Shitposting Thread is played, Shitposting-based cards will be able to activate their powers. If a Quality Discussion Thread is active, they will not.

Incident Cards

Incident Cards are your typical 'spell' card, where you can perform a certain action on your turn. They range from disrupting enemy cards to buffing your own. You can only play one per turn, and you can even play certain Incident cards during your opponent's turn, to mess with them at the last minute.

First things first, we need the cards themselves. I've got a template with a transparent gap in the middle, so just download it and slot your picture behind it, then post it here. Set the font to Century Gothic Bold and use one of these as an icon:
