People probably just bought Ground Zeroes, not playing the series beforehand, and just thought 'Oooh, it's an action game for PS4, I bet this'll be good! Then complain when it's shorter than they thought.
No, the game is unreasonably short for it's initial price. If it had been released at, say, $10-20, or even free as a demo with another Konami game, it would have been perfectly acceptable.
The sheer fact that The Phantom Pain's trailer plays at the game is a testament to what this game really is.
I get the TPP probably had huge development costs and they needed to make that up somehow, but they should have come out and said that, to be honest.
Eh, I got my money's worth, maybe a little bit much but it didn't bother me as much.

You play as the original, regular Snake in MGS3. Due to him going into his mission with no extra weapons or supplies, he was given the codename 'Naked Snake'. And then in MGSV he is Punished Snake/Venom Snake. Dunno how exactly that happens yet though

Mother Base was destroyed. If you had played Peace Walker you'd know what it is, why it's significant, and why you'd probably be pissed at watching it burn.
Mother Base's destruction was heartbreaking. I'm sure Barracuda survived, though. That tough motherfucker got 9999 health and psyche.
