The Arbiter's Grounds in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I wish the Ball and Chain/the charge-up A attack was obtainable before that dungeon, because Crowd Control attacks are fun af when multitudes of those Skeleton things try to overwhelm you. I actually had a hard time dealing with the ReDead knights, and the final Boss was really fun to fight too, despite being a bit too easy.

I think it was some Pokemon fan forum in 2003. I can't even remember the name, and the website's probably been deleted by now.

I sometimes hid near a Vehicle of interest in Halo games, only to hijack it after an enemy got in, although I never got any angry messages for it.

The Flood / Re: What has been your view of your jobs?
« on: August 17, 2015, 02:27:59 AM »
I did work Experience at a pet shop one time, and it was absolute shit. I never want to have anything to do with that place again.

I did an automotive trial apprenticeship at the start of the year, and aside from the fact that older staff treat the least experienced member like absolute shit, like, they'll spare no effort in trying to impress upon you how inferior they think you are, it was pretty good, although they savagely underpay trial apprentices. I'd actually want to do that job on, y'know, actually realistic pay.

The casual job I've had since 2010 has been pretty sweet too, and that pathway looks pretty promising if I choose to follow it as a career. Getting paid to watch Footy is definitely one of the easier jobs out there. My view of it hasn't changed much, although I'm definitely taking it more seriously, and better interacting with other staff at the Sports club than when I started out.

I like playing the first half of Tiny Wings. The soundtrack is pretty soothing, too.

iCopter is good, but the PC flash game it's based off, despite being (potentially) more than 10 years old, is infinitely better.

Draw Rider used to be fun if you can find an early (pre-November 2013) version.

Uhh, I think Radiant is cool, but they added seriously lame dialogue onto it.

I also still occasionally play Temple Run. Fun little time waster if you're waiting for somebody.

Road Rash 64 is probably one of the most comical games with Violent combat mechanics. Many a laugh has been had from jamming a weapon in somebody's front wheel and watching them attain Light Speed in an instant.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets on PC was a fucking solid title.

Uh, there was some Jackie Chan game on PS1, but I can't remember if it was great, and whether or not it was based off a Movie or not.

Gaming / Re: Bad RNG
« on: August 16, 2015, 08:50:37 AM »
I'm not particularly a fan of Mario Kart's RNG, but at least it has conditions where one can consistently improve their chances of getting a good item by being further away from first place, but I don't like how the items turn competitive gameplay into "sit back for the whole race and then rain shit on the guy in first place," as opposed to a consistent battle for the front like a proper Racing game. I think my gripe with AI cheating the elastic mechanic and making it a spring mechanic in 64 when they're ahead is bigger than that of the RNG.

Also Pokemon's Safari Zone gameplay, particularly in Gen 1, is absolute bullshit, and nothing less. It seems like it gives you a few relatively easy catches, and then just refuses to allow Pokeballs to even hit the target under any circumstances.

My neutral expression gives me that "Guy who's up to something sneaky and socially unacceptable" look, so rather than make people uncomfortable, or keep my eyes widened, or smile for an uncomfortable amount of time, I just look in their general area when we're speaking. No matter how much I try to change it with mirror practice, I just can't make a comfortable facial expression that doesn't make me look like a shifty cunt.

Should I be maintaining eye contact during conversation, even if it clearly makes people uncomfortable?

Unreal Tournament is fun af, even just playing against bots. Give the 2003 trial a go if you have a PC man, although you're pretty much restricted to the the "Instant Action" menu. Play a few games with different settings and tell me what you think :^)

Gaming / Re: So what are the benifits of owning an Xbox One?
« on: August 16, 2015, 08:25:24 AM »
The Wii-U currently has, in my opinion, the most fun games for local Multiplayer, so personally I'd recommend that if you have a few friends who visit regularly/play games. That said, you'll probably be better off waiting until the price drops with the release of the NX to get one.

If you expect to be playing Halo 5/MCC enough to justify the purchase of an Xbone, then go ahead, but you probably won't be interested in playing other games.

Come to think of it, I can only think of a few Current Gen games that I'd actually bother playing, to be honest. Has Variety always been this low, or am I just noticing it now?

um, okay

OT: From around 2 minutes onwards, this cutscene was pretty epic the first time I played ODST.

Come to think of it, both Warthog runs (Halo CE and 3 last missions) were really fun and challenging (the first time) too.

I dunno man, the worst thing somebody's ever actually done to me was spread shit about me that somehow made people at school and on the bus avoid me like the plague, but even that's just petty drama, and I've since stopped caring.

Unless they currently cost more to maintain than the energy they're putting out.
That's not the only issue involved in sustainability. I'd say you have a pretty unsustainable energy sector if it can't meet the demand of consumers, regardless of whether it makes a net loss.

Good point. New Zealand has around 75% of its power derived from Renewable Energy sources, and only 5% of their total energy output comes from Wind Power. They should still take advantage of Windy areas, but I agree that Britain would need to rely on other power sources as well, until such a time as Technology allows Power output increases in Wind farms.

Geothermal and Hydroelectric Power sources are also good alternatives, geography permitting.

This thread is unavailable. It is awaiting Ninja Justice.

20 minutes isn't too bad for a response time to be honest.

Nothing like a certain incident a little while ago where a certain thread was bombarded by a certain user with all manner of depraved imagery for about 24+ hours.

A couple of months after the b.roken update, some of the shit put up took in excess of 3 days to be taken down. I guess with literally every subforum flooded with Destiny misposts, it takes a while for NSFW shit to come to their attention.

8248
They're highly inefficient, AFAIK. Nuclear is the way to go.

Inefficiency doesn't make them non-sustainable, does it? Unless they currently cost more to maintain than the energy they're putting out.

Serious / Re: "We can't have wind farms because they spoil my view"
« on: August 14, 2015, 06:09:57 AM »
I honestly can't think of a good argument against increasing the number of Wind Farms/Renewable Energy sources. Even if I wanted to be against them, I wouldn't be able to justify that opinion.

Meanwhile, there was a huge Political battle in Australia over dumping shit into the Great Barrier Reef (which would've basically rid a large area of the Reef of pretty much any Wildlife) to bolster the export of Coal in that area. All this is happening while New Zealand gets something like 70-80% of its electricity provided by Renewable Energy.

It's better with the Grunt Funeral skull.

Cowbell + Grunt Funeral is probably one of the most fun ways to end your own life in Halo.
