Pasteurized milk is definitely not the best thing to be drinking (It's hard on the digestive system and contributes to inflammation), but isn't raw milk illegal because it's potentially dangerous and could make people very sick?
If you overconsume it. You're only supposed to drink one glass or the equivalent of one glass of milk every day. The reason pasteurized milk exists is because that's not enough for people. Raw milk is fine if you drink it how you're supposed to, and has a lot of great nutrients that are boiled out of pasteurized milk.
