But those who do pass have every right to fight on the battlefield.
Given that your entire moral philosophy is basically based on consent and the NAP, why are you so eager to expand the amount of people who could potentially go to war?
There's nothing inherently wrong with an army or war, only in how they're used. If another Hitler arises and starts taking over countries in Europe, we would have a moral responsibility to get involved. I know nothing about the NAP and neither support it or condemn it, but consent is the root of morality, with equality following from it. If a man is legally allowed to do something under the law, and then a woman is prohibited from doing that very same thing because of her sex, that discrimination flies in the face of morality. Reminds me of that other thread where I asked what was wrong with a woman serving in the army if she passed every requirement, and someone on your side (Assassin, I think) showed their true colors by saying "Having a penis is one of the requirements."

If you were to suddenly learn that there is objectively no God or fixed source, does that mean torturing a child to death would suddenly cease to be immoral? Yes.
Yeah, I'm done with this conversation.

Human rights come from morality, not the government.
Civil rights come from the government.
morality comes from God or the next best thing, and guides rulers into offering civil rights and freedoms for those under their leadership, for the good of the nation.
FUCK the enlightenment tbh
Morality is a constant, but is interpreted in different ways by humans. Therefore, human rights are interpreted in different ways. Whenever I speak on the subject, I'm obviously referring to my interpretation of it.
Not everyone believes in God, but almost everyone believes in morality, and so to claim that morality solely comes from God is just incorrect.
functional morality can only come from an unwavering God or God-like fixed source.
If morality is subjective or in any way impermanent, it might as well not exist at all.
I don't give a fuck what people believe, people are fucking retarded.
Morality is fixed, and just because everyone believes different things about it doesn't mean that it's not. Needing a giant, omniscient deity to tell you what's right and wrong may be necessary for some people, and that's fine, but that doesn't mean that's the only source of good and evil. The existence of suffering is where morality comes from. If you were to suddenly learn that there is objectively no God or fixed source, does that mean torturing a child to death would suddenly cease to be immoral? The nuances of the subject go deeper than religious dictates.

As long as organisms exist that can suffer, rights/morality exists.

But those (women) who do pass have every right to fight on the battlefield.
But as shown, none have.
Then there's no problem and all of you have nothing to worry about.
But when and if one does, she deserves a spot in infantry, same as any man.
"men and women should be treated and viewed as exact equals even though it's been proven time and time again they aren't and I accept this, but I'm still going to whine"
They should be treated as equals under the law, of course.
And they have. They didn't qualify.
And they shouldn't get in. Only those who pass the qualification requirements should. If that's no current women, then none should be able to enlist. If a woman does eventually qualify, then she should be able to serve on the front lines, same as any man.

No. Chads have no sense of style. Think tank tops and baseball caps with the label still attached. They would be on the same level as social outcasts if it weren't for their looks.

I never said you couldn't or that it was impossible. I said that it was difficult. I post something and you have an image in your head of what that sounded like. Even if I were to clear up the way I said it, if I don't change the wording it will still come off the wrong way.
that's not what i'm talking about.
you CAN change your perceived tone on the internet.
that's what i'm talking about. I kinda empathize with that sometimes you have a tone you're used to communicating online with, and short of specific lines being pointed out, it's hard to know what to change in it

It's wrong to be angry about a delay in something you've been waiting ten years for? Not to mention that's only one thread/lone instance.
your presence in the ffxv thread is pretty telling. you post like that a lot. you have the demeanor of a spoiled crybaby. why do you care about getting votes here in the first place though?

I thought you were supposed to be some champion of logic. If even ONE woman is able to meet the requirements of being in a combat role, the entire institution should bend to cater her.
They have. The Marine Corps has already accepted two enlisted Marines into infantry roles; no woman has ever passed IOC. There are already female Army officers and enlisted personnel in infantry.
Good. No requirements should be lowered for women - they should have to pass everything that a man has to. But if they do, and then are still denied enlistment, that's straight-up discrimination.
There's a lot of controversy around those that have passed, like reports that they were basically pushed through the pipeline despite failing multiple hikes and other tests.
And that obviously shouldn't happen. If a woman wants to serve, she has to earn it.
