I felt like it was all a little too sudden. First, a lot happened in a single chapter that easily could have spanned at least a few. Secondly, when and why did Vanessa start drinking to excess? Why would Adam, who's such a caring, selfless individual that he'd risk his life for his best friend, suddenly care so much about money that he'd fire half of the workers at Honesco? What's Mooseblood's story with drugs and (possibly) getting clean? How'd he get into them? How did it affect his relationships with his family and friends? A lot happened in a few short paragraphs that have no explanation and leave me, as a reader and a fan of the movie, a tad bewildered and with the chapter being so short/ending so suddenly, it made it really difficult to be fully absorbed into the world you've created for me. I do, however, have an insatiable love of dark themes in writing and enjoyed the overall tone that the first chapter sets for the rest of the story.

A mindset that promotes hatred and exclusion over love and tolerance is the toxic one.

Your mindset is so toxic and fucked up. I'm not going to ruin my night by getting into an argument with someone who can't grasp shit second graders are taught.

Also it does matter. Your kin, your race -- humans most alike you. Family outside of family.

When you look at the behaviors and trends of a race on a large scale, it's like one entity. Why? Common ancestors. Every white person is descended from the first two whites, basically, we were all originally two people at one point. And we all share characteristics of those two people.

See where I'm going here? That's why races have traits, behaviors, tendencies, attributes, whatever you want to call them. It's what defines a race. We are not all the same and we certainly aren't blank slates.

Even if that were true (and it's not) it's still immoral to look at it through that lens. Every human on the planet deserves the benefit of the doubt simply for being born. What they do defines who they are and how they should be treated.

And this was the EXACT kind of response I was expecting. Instead of trying to refute my points, you call me stupid.

You're pathetic, and you're only proving me right.
because your reply is legit retarded

who your "kin" is doesn't fucking matter, all that matters is who you are as a person

we should treat everyone as a blank slate when they're born and allow their actions to speak for them

Alright, so open borders when? It would be wrong to judge someone before they do something, after all.
Yeah, we should judge people coming into our country on the merits and fallbacks on them as a person, not on their race. This in no way implies open borders.

Racism, for not wanting to rent homes or hire Blacks because of the fact that 50% of the crime in the U.S is caused by a 12% Black Population?
Yes. Literally the definition of racism. You're judging someone and prohibiting them from opportunities because of their skin color.

Not because of the skin colour, but because of the tendencies intrinsic to a race. Blacks are naturally less intelligent, while being more violent, stronger and aggressive because of the hostile environment they evolved to survive in. If Whites were Blacks and vice versa it would be the exact same and we would be having the same conversation.

If that's what racism is, then there's nothing wrong with it. It's just common sense to be distrustful of people who mostly cause trouble. It's up to them to prove otherwise, not us.
Everyone is born a blank slate, and we should judge them only based on what they do, not what people similar to them do.

If you judge them based on an environmental factor, that's bigotry.
