The Flood / Re: I'm officially a vegetarian now
« on: March 23, 2020, 06:47:56 AM »
cool

if the quarantine hadn't complicated things, would you consider going the extra mile into veganism? because if it's an ethical decision for you, it's important to understand that vegetarianism isn't quite "enough" unless you're using it as a stepping stone
No, because I don't think there's anything wrong with using animal goods when you're not hurting the animal. A sheep in captivity, being shaved every now and again in exchange for food, water, shelter, and security, is not a bad deal for the sheep. They essentially get to escape the cruel cycle of life in exchange for a harmless procedure done every once in a while.

Of course, this assumes that the animals are being treated fairly. And of course, the core problem here is a lack of consent. But in this case, we can assume that because this is a beneficial deal for the animal, the animal would give consent if it could. If a different deal was offered (we food/house/protect you for your childhood in exchange for slaughtering you as soon as you're a healthy adult), then it wouldn't be a beneficial deal for the animal, and thus we can predict that they wouldn't give consent if it could.

An animal being used for it's goods is no different than an animal being used for it's services. Think dogs - entertainment and home protection in exchange for food/water/shelter. Or horses/donkeys/oxen using their strength to help us and we feed and house them for it. Is it exploitation? Yes. Is that better than being thrust into the cruel circle of life, where failure doesn't mean your owner yells at you, but you get eaten alive? Yes.

I hope you can understand my logic here. Being a vegan was never a goal for me.

The Flood / AMA I'm officially a vegetarian now
« on: March 22, 2020, 12:47:16 AM »
My little brother has been one for a while and I've always wanted to be one. It goes against my beliefs of antinatalism so much by furthering the suffering of sentient life. Anyway, I was going to do it for new years but couldn't so I said I'd do it after my birthday.

And to be clear, I'm a vegetarian for moral reasons, so if meat is already there and is going to be wasted, then yes in that case I'm kinda obligated to eat it, or else the animal died for nothing. I can still honor the animal the best I can. But I'll never actively seek out meat, because then new meat has to replace it.

i dont really celebrate my birthday

in fact i get quite annoyed when people try to do things for me
same here but people insist, so I try to just ask for small nice things like this

normally my sister wouldn't sit down and watch a movie with me, but today she said yes and ended up getting so into it. We all smoked of course. It's a really good film - much better than the original

724
they loved it by the end (my mom didnt watch - just me, my sister, her boyfriend, and my young brother)

my sister was obsessed with the first one when it came out lol but didnt want to watch this one but it was funny when she started getting so into it. Being with that terrible controlling boyfriend has changed her but whatever.

It was also nice to get free weed and nicotine and such. Anyway this post shouldn't be just about me - what was your best birthday?

The Flood / Re: Frozen II is the HIGHEST GROSSING animated film, ever
« on: March 18, 2020, 05:55:53 PM »
Okay, that's fair I guess. I don't see the problem with Anna ending up with Christoph, as their personalities complement each other, but yeah I'd always love a story without a romantic necessity for the female protagonist. I can't fault Frozen too much for doing what literally every Disney movie, and 80% of stories in general, have done.

I wouldn't call Frozen bland, though. If you liked Tangled, one would think you'd like Frozen. The two are very similar in quality, and really the only thing Tangled has over Frozen is that Flynn Rider is fucking hilarious and probably the best Disney prince of all time (except maybe Aladdin).

also yeah i love disney but fuck frozen
What the hell is wrong with Frozen, other than it being popular? It's a great franchise with memorable and likeable characters, not to mention truly mesmerizing songs and messages that everyone should hear.

I'm not going to get infected, and if I do I'll just kill myself. This virus won't get the upper hand on me. I have been exceptionally clean since the announcement of this thing to a pandemic came out. I am a cockroach, I will survive. I'm not scared of this and neither should you be.

Fantastic. I have this new chaser who's a southern gentleman but is beginning to become super subby for me. I love it. Only problem is he doesn't work at all (goes to school) so I'll probably have to be the provider. Actually that's not really a problem, come to think of it. Only bad thing I can say is that he's not really that physically attractive. A bit ugly. But that will work for me. It will allow me to be more secure in my position. I won't have to worry about him leaving me. He has such a great personality, and honestly that's what matters in the end. He will always be loyal to me.
Weird, is he from Georgia by chance?
Nope, South Carolina. Why do you ask?
