Hey guys I respect the military but let me take a moment to inappropriately shoehorn my personal political opinion into this thread.
Nothing is inappropriate about that.
Its supposed to be a thread about celebrating the soldiers who have fought and died, not to put in unnecessary political opinions, no matter how right they are.
To truly celebrate soldiers, we should abhor the institution of war and military corruption, to make sure as few lives as possible need to be sacrificed. Instead, we designate one day to say some empty platitudes and then move on with our lives. It's bullshit. Soldiers deserve respect and reverence; a few image macros with patriotic catchphrases don't achieve that.
