I don't have a problem with individual Muslims who don't subscribe to the worst aspects of their religion, but fuck those aspects are terrible. The religion of Islam is far worse than Christianity on a base level (no other religion is as misogynistic), and I don't know why disliking it is seen as a "conservative" opinion.

Just because restaurants just can't offer cups with unlimited soda refills anymore doesn't mean you can't buy 3 different cups and chug as much soda as you want.
At worst, it's an infringement of human rights.
At best, it's as you described - a money grab. There's absolutely no reason to make someone buy 3 drinks instead of 1, or a large drink instead of a small one. This whole law is so backwards and retarded.
Stop worrying about the obesity "crisis". Let people be as fat as they want to be, and do nothing to hinder them. Having good health is not the government business, it's the individual's choice.
The job of a society isn't to accommodate its citizens' needs, it's to produce the best versions of their citizens. Liberalism fails because it's just as good as anarchy.

If we were somehow given a choice of whether or not to be born, then living people would have an obligation to sacrifice autonomy for the good of the system they willingly entered. Since that's obviously impossible, though, that's not how it works.
The individual's own choices are supposed to trump society's, but that doesn't change the task of society one bit. Only the ones who have the mental strength to make their own choices with certainty have the privilege of truly knowing what they want, and only those who are powerful enough have the privilege to make their own choices a reality when society deems it illegal and wrong.
The weakest, most pathetic person in the world should still be able to make their own choices and be free. Anything below that, and society isn't complete. That goal is THE goal, and what everyone should be striving for. And it's possible. When we wake up and see that strength and status are the past, and humility and acceptance are the future, it will become so.
