rocky didn't start getting macho until rocky 3, and i would agree that's when the series started getting kinda dumb too
the difference is, it's still appealing because you're not really supposed to take it seriously anywayβit's just dumb fun
there is nothing fun about a rushed, hackneyed romance plot with characters who have no business being with each other anyway in a series that was never about love in the first place
