After Shogun Neo is done scolding mifune. He draws his sword, and beheads him.
Shui looks at Mifune's severed head, then back at Neo. He asks the shogun if he could now receive his katanas.

Shogun Neo wishes that he (shui)and his men come back with him to New Zealand to discuss politics and explain as to why this conflict happened. The remaining ships and crew of the transports will continue to the phillipines. And the captured Japanese soldiers will be sent back to Japan to face justice.
Lieutenant Shui agrees, and travels in a separate ship with 1,000 soldiers, sending the rest of the soldiers and ships back to China.

Shogun Neo arrives at the battle scene. He and his samurai come aboard the Chinese ships. Requesting to see mifune.
Shui demands to procure ten katanas before handing over Mifune.

Shogun Neo knows nothing of these political terms. He says he will after he sees mifune, for he will need his.
Shui cautiously agrees and takes Mifune from the brig, handing him over to Neo.

Shogun Neo orders mifune to bow. And begins scolding him in Japanese.
Shui respectfully waits for Neo to finish.

Because Japan made no effort to stop the fires from being lit, the Japanese masts are set on fire. The Chinese army lost four thousand men in the battle, and continue to mop up the remaining footsoldiers. Admiral Jiang was killed in the battle. His successor, Lieutenant Shui, attempts to find the Japanese commander.
Messenger bird sent to china from shogun Neo directly. He asks the Chinese lieutenant to hold the soldiers hostage on the ships. And to leave the workers and crew alive. It is not what it seems.
Lieutenant Shui commands all Chinese soldiers to cease the hostilities. Japanese soldiers are stripped of their arms, and the mast fires are put out. The captured soldiers are held in the brig. Shui sends Neo a letter in return, telling him that he knows what China wants.

Shogun Neo replies. Stating that all political arrangements were to be handled by tshuchiko mifune while he was visiting New Zealand.
Shui attempts to fine Mifune and speak to him on an equal level.

Shogun Neo sends another message. Requesting that the commanding officer give him their exact location. For he will arrive there personally.
Lieutenant Shui declines, instead finding Mifune and asking him to surrender.

Mifune surrenders.
The Lieutenant asks Mifune if there are any katanas on board. If even one is given to the Lieutenant, Mifune and every single Japanese soldier will be spared and given a ship and supplies to sail back to Japan. If not, the situation will be grim for those incarcerated.
Bro, these aren't elite troops. Of course there aren't any on board. You should know this. I'm sending shogun Neo personally.
Would it kill you to tell me this in-game? Jeez.

Shui accepts this, but warns that if more than a single Japanese ship is seen on the horizon, every captured soldier, and Mifune himself, will be executed.

Word spreads to Japan, and gets to Shogun Neo in New Zealand.
Shogun Neo is outraged. And requests president septty comes with him to talk to the Chinese.
Prime Minister TBlocks considers aiding the Chinese.
China would greatly appreciate this, and offers Canada the invention of gunpowder in exchange for carbon steel technology.
No deal.
Canada remains out of the conflict.
China states that Canada doesn't need to be part of any conflict to simply trade technology. It's a harmless show of good will that favors neither China nor Japan. The invention of gunpowder would be quite useful to Canada.
PM TBlocks agrees that it would help but would like more for this new tech.
China offers gunpowder, the ancient and revered design of the jian longsword, and fifty pounds of silver ore.
Deal.
Secrets of carbon steel will be shared when gunpowder secrets arrive.
China thanks Canada for its generosity. The shipment will arrive on page 25.

Steel weapons and armor given to all soldiers
HOW?!?!?
This. It took me many, many pages to get my army armed with steel swords. You literally discovered steel two pages ago, you have yet to manufacture enough to outfit your army with it.
