Fourth wall breaking was a regular part of Team Rocket's dialogue.
Hell yes, it was. My favorite quote from them was the exchange where James asked something along the lines of "why didn't we do this better plan from the start", and Jessie replied that they had to fill a half hour. That had me laughing out loud for minutes the first time I saw it.

what if you're using violence to demonstrate a point
When you use violence to display your viewpoint, you're illegitimatizing it.

I can't believe people on this forum want to live in a society where anyone can buy and wield military-grade weaponry. Fucking ridiculous and selfish.
Nah, it's just that we don't think giving a person a fully automatic firearm turns them into Rambo.
Just because you want to be a big man and buy bigger guns doesn't give you the right to put our society at risk.

The standard for being "BTFOd" sure has dropped. I don't care how much experience you have with guns, fully automatic assault rifles simply have no place in a civilian's hands. End of story.

That's literally as pointless as saying, handguns, shotguns, rifles, bows, knives, automobiles, bats, tire irons and countless other objects have no place in civilian hands. The point is, we have every right to have them in our hands so long as we are responsible.
Handguns, shotguns, and rifles are nowhere near the same level as assault rifles. I know you're not this dumb.
Fucking LOL

Please, Class, stop saying Assault Rifle at least, Okay?

Give me a rooftop and my grandfather's .44 bolt action Remington and I can do more damage than an assailant with an AR15 in an open plaza before we're brought down.
Well, you're trained. Automatic rifles take out the skill requirement. Any schlub can pick up an assault rifle and kill dozens of people before he's brought down. It takes a skilled marksman to do as much damage with a semi-automatic or manual rifle.

Eh, nihilist, so...
well that's just dumb
I fail to see how. I acknowledge the fact that people are able to create their own meaning, it's just something I can'y do personally. I fail to see the point though, life itself has no intrinsic meaning. Every action you do is inconsequential.
Exactly. We just exist, there's no reason for it. Hence, why you should fill your life with as much happiness and pleasure as possible. That's all life is worth living for. But unlike others, I don't see that as an inherently depressing thing.

you guys shouldn't waste your time trying to counterargue, because i'm not arguing with you

there is no argument here

your meaning of life sucks
Okay? The sooner you learn that people have different opinions than you, the sooner you can fucking chill out for once.

To enjoy it. You only get one go-round, so you should just live your life in a way that makes you personally happy.
that's always important, but that's more of a guideline instead of a "meaning"

as a meaning, enjoyment means jackshit
No, being happy is the only meaning. There is no afterlife, we're just atoms that are slowly dying. If you were unhappy in life more than you were happy, you wasted it.

It's designed to put a shitload of rounds downrange to make the enemy stay in cover so that your men can move forward and then kill the enemy with their semi-auto AR's.
Man, now I'm convinced that it's logical to sell them to ordinary civilians.
Brotip: your typical sandy hook dude is gonna do more damage with a semi-auto weapon than a full auto any day.

No. If you're in a crowd of people, and you want to kill as many as possible, you're going to do a lot more damage with a gun that shoots hundreds of rounds per minute for you. If you can only shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger, you're not going to do nearly the same level of damage as an LMG would.
YouTube

I'm nearly as good with my assigned M16.
That doesn't matter. As fast as you can pull the trigger, an automatic gun will always be faster.
And less accurate.
And waste more ammo
And miss more targets.
If you're in a huge crowd, missing targets isn't a problem.
But putting 10 rounds into a target that only needs two or three definitely is.
That's why you actually move the gun around. You don't just hold it in one place. Duh.

The only point of a gun that large is to kill a lot of people in a small amount of time.
>we need vidya for fun but you can't kill paper or beer cans for entertainment
>hunting isn't a thing
>target shooting isn't fun
>sporting clays isn't an age old pastime

Class pls, I thought you were better than Max.

If you really need a gun like this for shooting beer cans, deer, or any other target, you need to rethink your life.

Is there something wrong with enjoying the opportunity, though? Should someone be prevented from doing what they want?
Yes. If anyone could just buy a machine gun, the majority of purchases wouldn't be for shooting fucking beer cans, it would be for shooting humans.

That is insanely false and a baseless assumption proven wrong with history and experience. The overwhelming majority of firearm owners have killed NO ONE. People that want to kill are going to try, hindering responsible people will do nothing to help that, but just make things worse.
You don't need a fucking Scarface gun to protect your home. Buy a goddamn pistol.
