"Sexual immorality" is an inherent misnomer, though, because nothing two consenting adults do to each other behind closed doors could ever be unethical. Logically. Any belief to the contrary is just dogma talking.

Why the fuck do you care?
That would be option four for you, then.

Nope, not married yet.
Are you really "saving yourself" for marriage?

I didn't know you were that Christian.

That's the plan. Unless I have a moment of weakness or something.
Did you expect anything less from me?
Yeah, I did. I didn't know that anyone other than 70 year old Catholic women still held the arbitrary and illogical notion that sex should wait until marriage. Marriage is more than emotional, to be completely frank. Before making that commitment, a couple should know that there's a raw physical connection, as well.

The belief is still widespread, it's just poorly practiced.
It's just how I'm going to go about it. I'll still have sex, I'm just going to do so on those terms.
I first had sex when I was 15...would that be sinful in your eyes? lol

Spoiler
I'm pretty baked right now so forgive me if I'm seeming dumb haha

What I believe doesn't affect you, so my view of your choice isn't needed.
Unless you really really want it, then I will gladly tell you :D
I really really do  8)

If I don't have someone to hang out with every day, I get so bored. I need social stimulation, lol.

Hey you finally changed your avatar!

No, but I'm a virgin.
It's on a rotation now. 50% chance of the original, arms crossed avatar, and 50% chance of one of the top 3 choices in the Anarchy poll.

And that sucks, lol. Nothing to be ashamed of, though. I wish I lost mine in a better way, to be honest.

As long as you don't say Avatar: The Legend of Korra that show sucks.
LoK is alright, but it has nothing on the original series. There's not a character nearly as memorable or interesting as Azula in any of LoK's seasons.

A hilarious and overall high quality show that airs on Disney. Don't let that throw you off, though, it's easily CN quality.

The Flood / Re: What part, if any, of my personality is "Flanderised"?
« on: February 06, 2015, 05:00:00 PM »
it often results in the death of a series, in my opinion

i don't know how class can tolerate family guy, for example, because the characters have been flanderized to absolute shit
If I watched Family Guy for anything other than Stewie, Brian, and the random cutaways, I'd definitely have stopped a long time ago. But those two characters, IMO, are much better than how they were originally. I much prefer Stewie as a gay pop culture savant than a stereotypical evil baby, and Brian as "the voice of reason" gets old fast. He's much more interesting as the pretentious and full of himself ass.

Regardless, though, I don't watch any seasons after 7. Even S&B couldn't save the show after that point.

What people are probably thinking, and not saying, is intelligence.
It's the defining feature people tend to recognize about passionate and educated people.

I don't know you very well personally, so this is a facile assertion.

But that's just what's wrong with this thread - Flanderization isn't supposed to be a positive thing, and it hardly ever applies to real life. It's when, over time, a complex character devolves and devolves until their entire personality consists of just one trait.

The trope namer is, obviously, Ned Flanders, who started off as a nice, friendly neighbor who happened to be Christian, and eventually descended into a book burning fundamentalist Catholic.
