I guess I'm just surprised that anyone in this day and age starts smoking.
I understand people who got hooked before we knew how bad it was, but now? There's no reason to start smoking. It's terrible for you and expensive. I don't see the up side to starting smoking.
Refer to my post about the hypothetical bleach cigarettes. It doesn't matter whatsoever how bad something is for you. You still have every right to ingest it, smoke it, inject it, whatever. It's your own body, and you have a human right to fuck it up however you want, as long as it doesn't affect others. And for that reason, I wouldn't object to an outright ban on public smoking. But to prohibit someone from buying a pack of cigarettes, going into their own home, and smoking them privately, is ludicrous.

It's an amazing cartoon, man. It's not just the fantastic jokes, animation, voice acting, writing, and music. It's the great serialized plot it has. Like, honestly. Its story vastly outclasses 90% of the plots I've seen on television in general in the past five years. Breaking Bad is the only one I can think of that tops it.

But it's not just "some people" it's a fuckton of people.
So? Buying cigarettes doesn't mean that you're going to litter them. Increase the penalty and enforcement of littering butts, sure. But making the product itself illegal is ridiculous. You know what's another big littering problem? Soda cans. Should we illegalize that, too?
