The only reason the truce was agreed to was because The Thalmor literally couldn't be arsed pouring the time, effort and money (which they most certainly have) into buttfucking the Empire. Like Door illustrated, the only way to beat The Thalmor is via religious means. Talos is pretty much the only card up Tamreil's sleave, which the Stormcloaks recognise.

And issues of politics and economics--or how society should be structured and how exchange should take place--aren't issues of morality?
Some things are more important than others. Of course infrastructure and law systems are important, but I don't see all of human society crumbling if a libertarian is elected. There are very few issues I would put above body sovereignty in terms of importance. And before you get all "lol u just want to do drugs" on me, my lifestyle wouldn't change a bit if my social vision came about. To me, saying that two consenting people can't do whatever the hell they want to themselves is just wrong. If you're only affecting yourself and consenting others, it's straight up immoral to prohibit that.
