Not talking about solipsism. I wouldn't have included the "your existence is all there is" if I was, because your existence would be a lie in that school of thought. It's still solipsistic, just because you think you're all that matters in your perception. And that's just absolute garbage.
I'm talking about the simple fact that, to you, and to me, our respective existences all are there is. Once you die, it's over. Your world, all you know, is gone. So your life is your only priority, just as mine is my only priority. Of course it's selfish, I'm not arguing with that. But that's not an objectively "bad" thing. ...Yeah, it is.
If you see a person stuck under a firetruck, your immediate rational response should be, "I'm going to help her out." Even if you have inhibitions about it, like, "Oh, but I might put myself in danger..." You can have those inhibitions, but the rational decision to make is, yeah, to help her get out from under the truck.
If you think to yourself, "Doesn't matter; it's not happening to me," you're a cunt.
Solipsism is when you believe that your consciousness is all that exists. Putting your existence over everything else isn't solipsism, it's being rational. And I guess I'm a cunt, then, lol

Family Guy up to season 5 was great to me. Then it just started doing the same things.

Same things isn't always a bad thing, especially when those things are consistently entertaining and funny.
SP is just grating and annoying.
I like family guy as much as the next guy, but the formula they have makes it so episodes can't really progress well. That's why I like American Dad more because the cutaway jokes don't slow down the story. South Park is always a good watch to me though. Keeps me interested each episode and it's usually hilarious at how they poke at social issues.
Family Guy is unique in that the quality of the episode is pretty much dependent on the quality of the cutaways. While shows like South Park and American Dad focus on the plot and characters, Family Guy just goes for funny cutaways. It's juvenile, no doubt. But I'm not the kind of person who watches TV to think or dissect. I watch it for entertainment, and FG delivers on that front. And it can be really funny, even the laster seasons
