]Believe what you want, but it's been explicitly stated out-of-game that 7 and 10 take place in the same universe.

The whole multiverse thing is more of a highly probable theory, though, I'll give you that.
Has it really? Link me to something on that? I'm not doubting you, just curious.
The Ultimanias haven't been fully translated, so I can't really link you to them. Here's the summary, though:
Quote
In Final Fantasy X-2, a member of the Gullwings named "Shinra" proposes the concept of extracting the life energy from within the planet Spira. In the Final Fantasy X-2 Ultimania guidebook published by Square Enix, Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X-2 scenario writer Kazushige Nojima stated that the character Shinra and his proposal are a deliberate nod to the Shinra Company of Final Fantasy VII, and also revealed that he envisioned the events of Final Fantasy X-2 as a prequel to those in Final Fantasy VII. This connection had previously been hinted toward by Kitase and lead Final Fantasy developer Yoshinori Kitase during an interview in the Final Fantasy X Ultimania Omega guidebook, and was again detailed in the Final Fantasy VII Ultimania Omega β€” two other official publications of Square Enix.

All FF's not in the same universe?

Tin foil hats on and join the 'theyre all in the same universe' club.

Not that i believe it myself and it would be a mess, but the recurring crystals and LR's ending would sort of support that theory
They're all in the same multiverse, and some games are in the same universe, on different planets (such as FFVII and FFX).
That's just a lot of fan speculation. If anything it's just reoccuring themes for them. I highly doubt they're connected at all. The only theory for 7 and 10 was because one NPC in 10.

If anything, the only ones really connected are 2 and 4 since you see Kain as a kid, his father is a dragoon, and he says when he grows up he wants to be. That and a place called Missidia is in both.
Believe what you want, but it's been explicitly stated out-of-game that 7 and 10 take place in the same universe.

The whole multiverse thing is more of a highly probable theory, though, I'll give you that.

There was a disturbing lack of bicycle drive-bys in that movie

If it was just drug trafficking, it would be ridiculous.

It wasn't, though.

Even if you had the legal right, you'd have to probably jump through a bunch of hoops, when it should be as simple as walking into a hospital and asking to be put down. Without question. You can't do that.
Now this I obviously agree with. No one has the obligation to live, but our species would die if no one chose to have children on the off chance that they would be living a terrible life.

21460
what gives you the right to kill people who don't want to die?
Here's a better question:

What gives you the right to give birth to people who may not want to be born?
You can end your life, if you choose.

You can't end your death.

21461
Okay? It is.
You can't think of ONE scenario where it would be okay to kill someone.
Murder =/= killing

Life is what you make it, and you can make it good.
Please tell that to a starving Ethiopian.
An Ethiopian has the potential to live a good life. If you kill him, he has nothing. And if he really would rather die than live, that's the whole point of suicide.

21462
Death is probably good. Gets you away from this shit planet. Gets you away from your shit life, and your shit addictions. You won't go anywhere, but who cares?
And you call me a pessimist. Life is what you make it, and you can make it good.

21465
And lol, you can't really claim to be ethically superior, considering you'd kill everyone on Earth if you could.
*the universe

There's nothing unethical about preventing ALL suffering for the rest of time.
Killing someone = making them suffer

21467
Speciesism is a form of bigotry.
You have GOT to be kidding me.

21468
I'm ethically superior to you.
Whatever it takes to make you feel important, man.

21469
People who respond to an argument solely with "Wrong." should be banned from having an opinion on anything.
There is no arguing with a nihilist. None. That is the most fruitless endeavor I could possibly think of, next to arguing with a religious nut. We're not going to get absolutely anywhere, because you're an idiot who thinks only the self matters. Which is wrong.

Until you concede that you're wrong, we really can't discuss a goddamn motherfucking THING, because I'm always going to be arguing from the perspective of an individual who actually gives a fuck about the implications of having a planet filled with all this sentient life.
I'm not a nihilist. Nihilism is not believing in anything, but I believe in a lot of things. Most specifically, the superiority of our species above all else. You're a human, you don't need to care about anything that's not going to affect your race.

21470
Lol, this thread. They're just animals.

You're a human. Your species is more important than any other species.
Wrong.

Lol, this thread. They're just animals.

You're a human. Your species is more important than any other species.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speciesism
It's not an -ism, it's a fact. Do you think that any other species puts other animals before its own welfare? No, only us self-hating humans would think of that. At the end of the day, preservation of humanity is all that matters.
