Human rights are just universally agreed on structures and codes that we (as humans) strive to maintain or establish. If they "existed" in a traditional sense, then we wouldn't see human rights violations in Eastern Asia, Africa, South America, etc, etc.
rights are an extension of morality
just because you can do immoral things doesn't mean that the concept of morality doesn't exist
But that's what I'm saying. Rights exist as a concept, but evidence that it is not universally applied shows that it does not "exist", at least innately. It's something humanity is slowly working towards making universal.
well ofc not but the discussion is about how every suffering-capable organism is immediately entitled to a swath of rights upon birth it's not in our DNA, it's a logical syllogism that stems from morality* * my morality is that suffering is evil, and everything else follows from that paradigm

I said in the OP: I donβt mean if you believe in them. What you call immorality another calls necessity.
I get it, and I believe as you do. But in the abstract I donβt believe that basic human rights exist as anything more than our moral construct.
Good and bad are concepts, of course they don't exist in the physical sense. Even if no one is able to comprehend it or interpret it the right way, morality is a constant. It's a a deviation of logic.

Um duh?? As long as suffering-capable organisms exist, rights/morality exist.

Who cares? Doesn't mean that's what everyone is watching for
Dan Schneider put tons of foot fetish shit into his shows, doesn't define them
but it DOES
that's why d&j was his only tolerable show
he put that shit into d&j too Still a good, watchable show Get over your obsession with putting shit into categories

https://youtu.be/QzvexVNPNms?t=2m22sDont know why I suddenly feel this way tonight. I watched a bunch of Twin Peaks videos and now I'm nostalgic and feel empty. I want to have the energy and willpower to watch the whole show again, I need to find bliss through character connection again I don't know, about to watch TS. That always helps
