whoa now Call of Duty was great MW2 and prior. CoD 4 still possesses magic that no fps has been able to replicate.
Black Ops II is the best COD game ever made.

I agree with LC here. The 90s kids ITT need to take off their nostalgia shaders.

It certainly can be, but that's not its primary function. If a game is entertaining and has an important social point to make, all the better. If it's just entertaining, it's still good. If it just has a social message or whatever, but isn't fun to play, then it has failed.
sure

but that's not all what art is--it's not just about making "social points"
at its core, it's just about expression

which is very very broad--you could say it encapsulates almost all media (if not all)

what you're saying is that we shouldn't take any of it seriously, though, because it's just entertainment

but where do you draw the line between "taken seriously" and "taken too seriously"
if i had to wager a guess, it would be the point at which the game is no longer fun to play, yes?
You can have a game that's full of expression, symbolism, and deep thought, while still being boring and unplayable (Mother 2). In the end, I'm not going to shell out $60 for a game that's biggest draw is a good storyline, especially if the game itself isn't fun.

Do you disagree? If so, stop taking something that's inherently meant to be leisurely so seriously.
why would i
Because media isn't art, it's entertainment.
have fun trying to convince anyone of that

why can't art be entertainment
and vice-versa

Video games, like TV, movies, and books, aren't meant to be mulled over and held to some social standard.
what utter crap

try 80s

also ukino joe isn't funny
More accurate than funny. Games are just getting better and better. Seriously, play KH2 for five minutes, and then play Super Metroid for five minutes, and sincerely ask yourself which one you had a better time playing.

Video games, like TV, movies, and books, aren't meant to be mulled over and held to some social standard. Their only purpose is entertainment. And they're just getting more fun to play as the years pass.

Are humans inherently good or evil?
Neither. They're inherently selfish, and evil results from that more often than good. But luckily "feeling good about myself" is a feeling that a lot of humans try to achieve through morality, which can create good acts.

All in all, there's not a moral disposition that humans are naturally born with, but just one of self-interest and individuality.

"My life sucks so I have to pick arbitrary things to judge strangers on the Internet about to feel better"
even if i had the best life ever, i would still judge others

...in fact, that would be all the more reason to judge others

judging people is awesome
Nope. If you're happy and content with yourself, judging others isn't even within the realm of things you'd do.

lolno, Gravity Falls is far superior.

I don't like sci-fi....Gravity Falls is much more a mystery than a show with powers and shit. It's like Twin Peaks with classic Simpsons jokes, for kids.

In Oblivion, if you have a 15,000 or over bounty, Shady Sam will sell you his items for half off. If it's 50,000 or over, he'll sell every item for exactly one septim each.

how do i break into the thread market?
start investing in rare links

then you have to let them simmer for at least a good six months
