It's just not on the same level as a guy hitting a girl
It's more exciting than life-threatening

Even if you're working on an assembly line, you're entitled to the same safeties and regulations as anyone else. The problem is that without unions, employers could treat their employees any way they wanted to, and the only way to change it would be through the federal government. Unions allow any common worker to actually get things done outside Uncle Sam.
This isn't 1892, in the heat of the Industrial Revolution. The federal government, and nearly all (If not all) of the states have workplace laws regarding minimum wage, safety conditions, when kids can work, and most everything you can think of.
Yes, laws that are already set in place. If you want to change something else, you can't. Not without a union.

Hate how females act like they have some sort of shield around them that makes them immune when they hit guys.
You gon act like a guy, you gon get dropped like one.
EQUALITY
Girls hitting guys isn't anywhere near the same thing as the reverse though
Oh I get it, it's because they don't hit nearly as hard as men, so it isn't a big deal.
#dipshitlogic
No, because girls hitting men isn't abuse Men hitting girls is assault, as it should be

Thinking union bosses care any more about workers than the employers is intensely naive.
Except they objectively do. Ever met Lee Saunders? One of the most respectable and honest people in the world, and he's the president of one of the biggest US unions. Employers care only about money, on the other hand.
Oh, gee, well done. You can tag the word objectively into a sentence and make it look as if you're saying something substantial.
You know there are a lot of decent employers, right? Sectors which tend to have low employee satisfaction tend to have exceptionally high rates of turnover precisely because they are entry-level jobs. You start moving up the pay gradient and your employer is probably going to be bending over kissing your ass and begging you to stay.
I'm not talking about entry level jobs, I'm talking about people who have to work in factories as a career because the job market is shit. Even if you're working on an assembly line, you're entitled to the same safeties and regulations as anyone else. The problem is that without unions, employers could treat their employees any way they wanted to, and the only way to change it would be through the federal government. >respectable and honest organization >was once dominated by the mafia and to this day uses bully tactics to gain members and then makes them pay dues
LOL
Are you honestly going to try and deny that labor unions weren't deeply corrupted by the mafia? Please try and make that argument. Please do it.
The United States used to have slavery, but no one tries to use that as an argument against modern day leaders.

didn't you brag about getting like a 2300 on your sat
I got a 2140
And bro, the SAT actually has very little advanced math on it. It's mainly about reading comprehension, tbh.
HAHAHAHAHAH I BEAT YOU BY 10 POINTS EAT MY DICK :^)))))

What's your major?
Undeclared, probably doing Biochem though
And calc isn't a prerequisite for anything later on? Either way, you're going to have a lot tougher classes than Calc I, then. You should probably not drop it. Have you tried a tutor?
You only need up to Calc II to get into the pharmacology school I'm looking at more than enough time to take it when I'm a Junior or something and not a Freshman

I think it's more important to enjoy your career than it is to make a lot of money
this is where we disagree then

unions are pointless now and actually cause problems instead of fixing them
lolno
You think your employer gives a shit about you? You think your employer's employer does? Unions are the only organized group who actually care about people and not profit margins.
My company is constantly ranked in the Top 5 Best Companies to Work For, even as high as number one, without any union.
I'm sure there are some unions that are necessary for some careers, but the notion that they are 100% necessary for everyone is retarded.
...God I'm turning into PSU.
So because you're lucky enough to have a job where you're treated fairly, that means everyone is?

It's 2015 and unions are more relevant than ever

Unions wouldn't need to exist if businesses didn't treat their employees like dirt.
Well, duh. But they do, and always will unless there's an outside force to stop them.

anyways... what year are you in?
I actually didn't have much trouble with Algebra, but Calc was so, so bad. I took Discrete instead of Statistics in my junior year, and it wasn't too bad. And I'm a freshman in college at the moment What year did you take Algebra I in?
