Who fucking cares about Spirits Within? Jesus, a company makes fun of one of it's failed project and everyone loses their minds. I feel people here played episode 1 of LiS and judged the entire game based on that.

You misread my comment. "They" refers to the LiS devs. They were making fun of themselves. It's well known that Spirits Within was a failure, they weren't trying to bring it back or anything.

And you've played it? What's the stinger of episode 3/4, then? The game doesn't start getting legendary until episode 3, where the time travel mechanics get very intricate and gripping.
Spoiler I haven't played it in a while so i can't fully remember, isn't that when she saves he friend's/girlfriend's Dad in the past via time travel then she changes the future by doing that and in the new future chloe or what ever the fuck her names is, is now handicap, but the dad is alive, so super faggot max goes back again and lets the dad die and shit

Yeah...that part was sad as hell. Are you serious? When she goes back to her 13-year old self and pretty much makes Chloe's dad die, and breaks down in front of young Chloe? That tore me up. Same when modern-day Chloe found Rachel's body. The acting and dialogue was spot-on there. The game is so sad.

The only thing heartbreaking is the fact that someone got paid to write this dialouge (and the fact that someone actually liked Spirits Within enough to mention it in the game)
Read the first sentence of the OP, you jerk. I admitted the dialogue can be bad, but unlike the spoiled brats on this forum, I didn't let that stop me from playing a massively enjoyable game. It's like how Twin Peaks has really, really, campy dialogue but is still one of the best TV shows of all time.

I'm genuinely curious how those two things arent in opposition to each other
It's set in an art school in the Pacific Northwest, so the characters intentionally speak very pretentiously and faux-intellectually, but they themselves are very deep and complex. Especially when the serious shit goes down in later episodes, it gets so sad. You get really attached to them. Wait? Isn't that game some SJW motion comic shit with Kindergarten grade writing?
Uh, it's Telltale-style, so I guess you'd call that a "motion comic". But other than that, no. There's very little "SJW" elements, and the writing is fantastic.
