Ukraine begins examining the medicinal properties of certain fungi.
Ukraine finds a practical medicinal application from their work. Development of a prototype begins, expected to be complete by page 9. Belarus annexation -- 11% Romania annexation -- 11% Poland annexation -- 12%

Peace treaties would be sent to every dominant country at this time, asking for peace for at least a decade.
Ukraine accepts this, and also sends peace treaties to any other amicable European nations.

Ukraine sends 5,000 soldiers north to take Belarus. Ukraine sends 4,000 soldiers south to take Romania. Ukraine sends 6,000 soldiers, 200 biplanes, and 400 pilots west to take Poland.
Expected annexation dates will be announced once the troops enter the territories.
Ukrainian soldiers enter the territories and began moving through them. Non-interfering civilians are spared, but enemy combatants are dealt with brutally and swiftly. Any killed enemies are stripped of their weapons and provisions. The biplanes arrive in Poland ahead of the Ukrainian army and focus on destroying any serious threats and military infrastructures in the country. Belarus annexation -- 2% Romania annexation -- 2% Poland annexation -- 3%

But, here's my question to you. If I'm morally wrong on a call like that, then what would you do, if anything, to stop me?
Let's assume that in five minutes, I'm going to go out and do that to somebody. And you have that knowledge. What do you do?
Um, nothing? I don't know where you live. If you were going to go out and murder someone, I couldn't do anything.

Not much to say. If I make the personal choice to do drugs, no one has the right to stop me. You can try to talk me down from it or whatever, but you can't impose your will to force me to stop. That's extremely unethical.

I mean, if you're incapable of even speaking - if you're unconscious or something, it's obviously less black and white.
But if you're lucid and telling someone you don't consent to something, like a life-saving operation, then that's the final word. It's objectively and inherently wrong to defy that decision.

No.
With this logic a murderer can simply proclaim he doesn't consent to being arrested.
When you break someone else's consent, you have the possibility of forfeiting yours, depending on what you did.

Medically? Not always. I believe physicians should always save the life, even if it means doing something they may not consent to.
Ridiculous. Medically is when consent is most important. OT: Of course it is.

Same military to start.

Holy shit Ukraine has some power behind it
Yeah, I didn't know what military size base we're using (since it's supposed to be equal) so I just used Korra's troop numbers.

Uh, 2 billion? There's only 7 billion people in the world in 2015, let alone 1920
Whoops, added an extra zero. Fixed.

Does this shit require me to invest a bunch of time in order to do well?
Eh, not really. When shit goes down (like wars or big issues), you definitely have to be active on the computer, but most of the time is just deciding which path to take your country down and waiting for the resolution of that. Things like research and annexation take time to complete, so most of the game is passive.

I call Ukraine!
I play Asian countries in pretty much every one of these (Japan, China, Mongolia), so it will be interesting to mix it up.
How on Earth are we going to go to war?
we're in the same hemisphere so don't worry we'll border each other by page 4

Are you going to make the thread, then?
In the process right now. What tech should we start with?
The only UN game where we got to space was the first one, and that's because we started in modern day. All other UN games have been themed (Fallout, TES) or started in the iron age. Starting in modern day might make us leap into scifi and space too early, though, so maybe 20s technology? We could say every starting country has just finished their industrial revolution.

Am I the only one who remembers the UN game that ended in a reset because we got star destoryers, terraforming, etc in like...20 pages?
Was that the one where Neo had the VEX virus or whatever? Or the one where the entire solar system was eaten by three black holes and it ended in a stalemate?
Project Omega I think?
EclipseCool af name
