how does that all feel at once?
it's like a mixture but at the same time I feel the drunkness overpowers the highness

because you know I get high pretty often so my tolerence is kinda low, but with alcohol I don't drink as often so it affects me more

I feel like this guy

Spoiler
in all seriousness though, I kinda wish I had access to the more advanced sets and other kinds of blocks when I was younger. I remember being disappointed by not being able to make good-looking roofs, but one of those rounded pieces would have been perfect for that

Class has yet to name a better toy.

Because he can't
Battleship was fun. I also had a cool robotics kit when I was younger, you could design and build things that actually moved around and responded to inputs. Much more fun than blocks IMO
>bionicle
>blocks

lol
no wonder you're so wrong
Well I'd put Bionicle in a separate category than regular Legos, they're more like action figures than blocks. I had a few Bionicles, and they were cool, but I just didn't like them as much as everyone here does

@Winy: yeah I kinda just realized I derailed this bad, I'll stop posting lol

....and I did the same, but played with different things inside.

Like a normal kid.
what were those things

i used to collect those neopet plushies that mcdonald's had for awhile
it would piss me off, because my sister would always get the rare star-pelted ones

mcdonald's toys went wayyy downhill after that
I liked card/board games a lot more than actual "toys" (and I spent way more time outside than inside), but I played with Lincoln Logs a lot when I was a kid. I always preferred those to Legos because they looked really aesthetically pleasing and you could build a lot of different things with them.

Shooting other children with plastic bb's was also a great childhood past time. Much more entertaining than sticks.
I played airsoft when I was a preteen, with sticks when I was younger than that. My mom wouldn't let me buy an airsoft gun until I was 13.

The point is that they were blocks when I was a kid.
lol no they weren't
stop talking shit

you're in the same age group as most people here. funny how we had lego that wasn't just "flat bricks" when we were kids
Yes they fucking were, you limey fuck. That's all I had. I didn't have these fucking fancy models, I had blocks. That's it. Stop coming in here and accusing me of some random shit just because I don't play with the same fucking kid toys you play with
sucks to be poor i guess

or your parents just didn't love you

so you resorted to playing with sticks lmao
Both? But that really has no bearing on this conversation. And by the way, if you didn't play outside and pretend to be knights or whatever, that's probably the sign of the weaker imagination than not building things with legos.
i played outside with friends doing kid stuff, and played inside with my cool bionicles

God Class is literally the worst poster here

Being an edgy contrarian for the sake of being an edgy contrarian
I'm really sorry I don't like Legos. Guess that makes me edgy? Okay?

Anyway, yeah, there's all sorts of weird bricks. All different shapes and sizes.
Like these
and these
and these
and many more

And yeah, they make them in every color in the rainbow.
See, if I had bricks like that I probably would have enjoyed them a lot more when I was a kid. Alas, I didn't, so I didn't enjoy them as much. Not like I'm going to start playing with Legos nowadays anyway, but I still don't see why people got so defensive over my opinion ITT.

Yeah, no, that's not lego. Those are shitty unbranded bricks.

You're probably trolling, but if you aren't, you should know that you're acting like an old woman, even with the way you type, holy fuck lol
Fine, better? I can't distinguish between Legos and Lego knockoffs when I'm browsing Google Images. The point is that they were blocks when I was a kid. I wasn't into them. Sue me.

Why everyone is freaking out over the fact that I don't like some toy is beyond me.

"Anything"? No. You can make multicolored things with square edges.
for someone who values imagination, you have a pretty shitty imagination

if that's all you can come up with
What?? I'm talking about the physical design of a lego block. There are no rounded Legos. There are no "colored sets" of legos where it's all one color. Anything you build is going to be edged and flat, with a multitude of colors making it up.
Totally edged and flat

Yeah, I didn't have fancy shit like that.

That's a problem on your end - you could get bricks of the same colour for consistency. Also, what you linked isn't lego.
Um, yes it is. That's the Lego I know. Blocks.

There are no rounded Legos.
There are, though... Granted, they can be kinda rare, but still.

There... ARE, though...

You've never been to a Lego Land, apparently. Or a Lego shop. They have these dispensers everywhere that contain plenty of the same color brick. When I was young, I got a Lego Chewbacca keychain, but the one I picked up was missing one of its little Lego hands. When I brought it to the clerk, he was like, "Oh, no problem!" and I'm not even kidding you--he pulled out a cupboard underneath his next that was filled with little brown Lego person hands, and popped the new hand on. It was hilarious. I still have the keychain around here somewhere.

I mean, it's just not true, though. Only if you had a limited selection of bricks at your disposal would that be a problem.
See, I don't know about all of that...when I was a kid, I had two types of legos: the square ones and the rectangular ones. Like this. And I didn't like playing with them that much because it looked so ugly to build with. I would have houses and buildings and such, but they were multicolored and shit. I tried to separate my legos into the same color, but I wouldn't have enough to build a house that was all one color with maybe a different colored roof. When Bionicle came out, that was cool, but it was more an action figure than a lego. I've never even heard of Legoland, we just got ours at Big Lots.

He's calling them rectangular blocks, let the dunce be.
Please get more defensive over a child's toy.

I say that I'm not a fan of Legos (not attacking anyone, just my opinion), and in turn everyone just shits over what I used to do as a kid. Calm down.

>playing with sticks
>can't afford actual toy swords
Or I could go find a strong stick outside and not have to pay $40 to have a swordfight. And besides, playing with sticks is so much more fun. They can break, you can throw them as a distraction and then grab another one, you can dual wield two daggers, etc.

It's more about the adventure than the money.

Lego is for everyone you retard. There's lots of people who didn't grow up with lego and they love it.

You're just being a contrarian.
Since I don't see the appeal of something popular, I'm a contrarian. Got it.

There's literally no reason to not like it in some way, though.
How so? God, you people are defensive. I don't really like Minecraft, I don't really like Mega Blocks, I don't really like Legos. I'm not interested in designing buildings. What other reason is there to like Legos?

They're building blocks. That's it.
yeah

you can build anything you want out of them

that's all
"Anything"? No. You can make multicolored things with square edges.

And that's why I've never understood the Lego hype. Other brands of building blocks exist. Literally countless. Legos are the same. I guess the appeal is they're stronger and smaller? Still a pretty dumb reason that the franchise is an empire at this point.

You could say "We're atoms. That's it".

Ridiculously silly arguments.
Are you really comparing the many things that atoms can create and destroy to the very limited kinds of buildings you can make with rectangular blocks?

I just find being active and physical outside more fun than tinkering with action figures.
You use your brain when tinkering. I understand it might not have been a strong suit.
>getting this mad over me not liking legos

Nobody's mad here, we're all just kind of baffled that you don't like lego.

Were you born into poverty or something, and after seeing all the kids with those cool lego sets your mind decided to throw it into the sour grapes vault for eternity?

Or, you're just being a contrarian.
Legos weren't even expensive, so I don't know what you're talking about. I just don't understand this Lego craze. They're building blocks. That's it. I built stuff with them when I was a kid, sure, but I don't hold this weird nostalgic fixation with them even as an adult. You guys make fun of me for liking kids shows while you play with kids toys. I just find it hypocritical and annoying.

Yeah but if you don't like LEGO you should legit kill yourself.

Not even kidding
Overrated.
