You head west, noticing a well-worn path beneath you. The bright sun continues to shine down through the thin canopy, and after a brief ten minute walk, you come to a lake. The lake is huge, and so clear that you can see the lakebed in its depths. A deer drinks from the water on the other side of the lake, and you see that the dirt path turns into a paved cobblestone one on the other side, as well. You see something glimmering on the bottom of the water.

I'll start the scenario and lead the story. You can do anything you want within the realm of reason, but you only control yourself, not other things. Ridiculous choices are fine, as are serious ones.
You're in the middle of a forest meadow. Bird chirps complement the happy afternoon sun shining on you and the flowers around you. To the south is the way you came. To the east, the forest gets thicker and darker. To the north, you can vaguely make out the shape of some sort of looming building. The air is moist to the west, suggesting the presence of a lake or something.
What do you do?
