I don't believe in freedom of speech, I believe in freedom of expression and opinion. Walking into a crowded theater and yelling fire would be free speech, but still has a decisively immoral outcome. Same with verbally abusing your daughter. In the general populace, "freedom of speech" and freedom of expression are regarded as one and the same, but they're different in the way that freedom of speech can turn into non-consented harassment fast.

Nice appeal to nature. Not talking to Ganon about this (I know he doesn't want to talk about animals) but eating animals IS morally wrong, considering that you can eat other kinds of foods. There's no reason that a rabbit has to die when you can eat nuts for protein instead. That being said, I'm not a vegan or a vegetarian. I eat animals and recognize it's evil for me to do so.

There are none, because morality is inescapably tied to our interactions with other feeling creatures. If you're only affecting yourself (physically, not emotionally), then what you're doing can't be moral or immoral. For something to have one of those qualifiers, others must be involved. And all unalienable rights are individualistic acts, so they can't have a moral standing, for good or bad.

Specific rights are debatable, they're not concrete. I already explained the concept of them above, though. They're unalienable, unrevokable actions that every human can always do. Some are more agreed upon, such as the freedom of opinion, whereas others are more murky, like the right to clean water.

The reason there's the military thing as the program termination is because it was designed by Braun, a sadist. He wanted his last moments of life to be watching others suffer. But because he registered his Vault-Tec ID with the simulation while designing it, the failsafe can't kill him, because his station overrides the failsafe. Hence, why he would never, ever let his prisoners go, be it 100 years or 1000 years. If he let them die, he would still be alive, and he would only have AI to entertain himself with. When you activate the failsafe, everyone but him dies, and he's left alone in Tranquility Lane, forever.
A major theme of the Fallout series is relative morality, about greyness. There's no "free the prisoners" option because it wouldn't make sense in the lore of the series. I'm kinda curious what you would change about the quest, though, other than making it more clear that the mercy kill is the morally right option.

I don't really see how you didn't understand it. Braun was explicitly introduced as a Vault-Tec scientist who made the vaults and the GECK. Both of which were pre-war inventions. And if you somehow didn't connect the dots there, Braun's logs were openly plastered in the failsafe terminal, which gruesomely describes his treatment of the citizens for the past two hundred years. Did you just...not read them? When you came across the failsafe? I just don't get how you thought mercy killing was the evil option, it was pretty clear to me when I first played that it was the moral thing to do. You get the highest single karma boost in the entire game by activating the program.
