I wasn't referring to you, just the attitude of this thread in general And yeah, I'm sure it does all add up. But honestly, it may be weak, but spending some money even just every few months on a chemical escape from the world can help immensely in the long run. I'm not homeless, but even I've needed that sometimes. So I guess I'm just a little more sympathetic and positive about it. When you make it a habit instead of an experience to the point that you're suffering financially because of it is when it obviously becomes a problem.

After I got my food stamp card I was eating just fine, but I saved every fucking dollar I could, even if it was something I wanted or felt like it might make me feel better. If it wasn't essential or I could live without it, I didn't buy it.
You wanna get out of a shitty homeless situation? That's how you do it. Self control and discipline, and some practice with good social skills because good social skills means finding people willing to let you crash.
I wouldn't consider spending $10 every now and then to be too big of a hit, but I've never been homeless. I've been looking at it more through the lens of depression, which seems to be the bigger issue in Solonoid's life. But hey, I could be wrong about that, too.
