"Suspicious" literally means their ethnicity here. He should have done exactly what he did, because at the time, all he saw was a group of foreigners. It's far from "rational thinking" to call the cops because a group of sketchy Muslims is walking down the street. If he saw a group of people holding a bomb, then he should of course call the police regardless of their race.

Political correctness isn't a bad thing. People don't understand this. There's absolutely nothing wrong with referring to specific ethnic groups by the word they want to be known as. It's not until it becomes a hindrance to rational thought and reason that it becomes an issue; i.e. people going overboard with it.

Saying "black person" or "african american" instead of nigger is far from an inconvenience, let alone a hindrance.
