2013 movie and Winona still looks adorable

Really great movie, too, all the acting was spot on. WR developed this phenomenal 60s northeastern accent to fit her role and the setting. I highly recommend this movie, go see it ASAP

Krokodil should be free for everyone to use tbh
if someone understands the results of it to the fullest extent and willingly chooses to consume it anyway, then yes.

No substance should be illegal for consumption, period. Regulations and labelling laws are essential, but if a person is willingly and knowingly putting something into their own body, it's immoral for the government to prohibit that.
remember that time the person on bath salts ate somebody?

Yeah
remember that time when eating people was already a felony?

How do you, specifically, pronounce it?

If the removal is based on her being overweight, that's ridiculous. If it's based on her showing an amount of skin/cleavage that violates their ToS, it's perfectly understandable.

Giving birth.

the second time i watched requiem for a dream, i teared up

that's the only time
never seen it, isn't it just about drug addictions?

why on earth would you like a movie about that?
it's primarily about four people who destroy their lives and aspirations with drug addictions, yeah
i mean, it goes a little deeper than that, but that's the most glaringly obvious topic

the reason i like it is because it's literally Don't Do Drugs: The Movie

you probably wouldn't like it, because it's a little bit overwrought and anvilicious--or it might scare you straight, idk

it gets my goat, though
literally top 3 movie for me
Makes sense, but I just meant I don't see how you'd sympathize with drug addicts, much less feel sad for their plight.

lol Class is a crybaby
Probably because I watch good dramas

which are supposed to make you cry fam
Recommend me some tearjerkers. Let's how long I can last.
Here's some shows/movies that will almost certainly make you cry:

--Twin Peaks is the #1
--Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul
--True Detective
--Freaks and Geeks
--Little Miss Sunshine
--Chinatown
--Miller's Crossing
--Heathers
--It's a kid show, but Gravity Falls has a bunch of heartbreaking episodes
howd breaking bad make you cry
Spoilers, obviously

Spoiler
--Jane dying
--"He can't keep getting away with this!"
--The entire "Fly" episode was a total tearjerker. Jesse talking about his aunt with cancer, Walt all drugged up and nearly confessing to Jesse that he killed Jane, Walt's implication that Jesse is a kind of surrogate son to him, etc
--Walt telling Walt Jr about Walt's only real memory of his father
--Abiquiu flashback to Jane and Jesse in the museum
--Rehab leader's story about how he killed his daughter
--Salud flashback to Gus' past
--Pretty much any Jesse/Walt scene in early season 5, when Jesse still sees Walt as a kind of mentor/father figure, and before he realizes what a monster he is.
--Ozymandias in general. Specifically Hank and Gomey's death and of course Walt's confession to Jesse that's out of malice, not guilt: "I watched Jane die. I was there. I could've saved her...but I didn't."
--Walt Jr finally realizing that his dad is an irredeemable monster, picking up a knife, and protecting his family from the man who "protects his family".

That's just off the top of my head. There are countless more heart wrenching moments in the show.

The Flood / Re: How long do you take in the shower?
« on: May 23, 2016, 01:29:36 AM »
Ten minutes. I'm surprised some of you spend so much time in the shower.
It's warm and peaceful

why not spend as much time there as possible?

11455
Makes sense, but I just meant I don't see how you'd sympathize with drug addicts, much less feel sad for their plight.
it has its way of humanizing the characters in such a way that, while you acknowledge their idiocy, you can understand it from their point of view--and the performances really sell it

the mother ends up being the most sympathetic character, for reasons i don't think i should spoil--let's just say that her addiction isn't exactly all her own fault

see, it's not just about drug addictions--it's about addiction in general, and how it manifests in many, sometimes innocuous, ways--it's a desperate plea to the audience not to fuck their lives up with anything, whether it be drugs or something else

i regret calling it "Don't Do Drugs: The Movie," i think that paints it in a bad light

it's more like, "Don't Let Anything Steer You From Your Dreams: The Movie"
or fuck it, just "Requiem for a Dream"--it's titled perfectly as it is

so yeah, go see it
I probably should, it's more or less a classic. I think I would just feel terrible afterward, though, like after I saw The Pursuit of Happiness. It's just one big downward spiral from what I've heard of it - not that it shouldn't be, if it's a movie about hard drugs - but I just don't feel like I'd get much entertainment out of it.

I'll end up watching it regardless at some point, though. I only watched Chinatown the first time because I wanted to knock out some classic movies from my watch list, and it ended up being one of my favorite films of all time.

11456
also obviously The Notebook, if you haven't seen that yet
That's PSU's favorite movie.
oh my god, the first time I saw that was when I was like 13, and I cried for way longer than I'd ever admit

I don't know if I'm autistic or some shit, but I don't really bawl or anything when real life events dictate I should, but I do with fictional stuff that doesn't even matter.

I ain't gonna watch the TV shows, that'll take too long. But I def will check out the movies.
