It's just pathetic.
huh, great point
i guess i should ring up my ex-friend on skype--who i've known for 10 years, and i speak to every single day--someone who likes to stream movies with me on the weekends and play smash and street fighter--someone who's sought guidance from me on a number of his life issues, and someone who i've trusted and looked upon with respect for being a kind, intelligent, funny, and important part of my life
i guess i should just ring him up and tell him that we're not friends, because how could anyone be friends over the internet
you're an irrational selfish cunt--do not impose your irrational selfish cunt views on me or my friends
That's just a long-distance friendship. You met him in the real world, got separated for whatever reason, and keep in touch using the Internet as a tool. Far different from thinking representations of people you've never met on some internet forum are your actual friends.

It's just pathetic to consider online personas of people "friends".
Some people are just themselves without "personas", y'know.
Is your name Snake? Then you have a persona (i.e "username")

>internet "friends"
"i don't have any, so no one can have any"
More like the concept itself isn't real
i'm much closer to and have known some of my internet friends far longer than my real life friends
not all of them, but definitely some of them--i've stuck with some of these people for 10 years, and we've shared so much together--it would be an outright insult if i did not consider them a bona fide friend
the only thing that separates internet friends from real life friends is the lack of physical interaction, which is unneeded
You can't know who people truly are on the Internet. You can talk to someone every day online for decades, but that's not friendship. You're not doing anything together, you're just talking about things that you do in the actual world. That's far from an insult, it's the truth.

I find it kind of funny that this excuse is always used as damage control itself when people get trolled now. "Ha, we weren't fooled, you were being serious the whole time!" I've seen this countless times.
That's not to say that this was necessarily a "troll", more just saying unjustifiably idiotic opinions to get people to respond.
Yeah, I know what you mean, but I've seriously never been more confident about it until now.
Even if he really was trolling, it's still damage control. You're not supposed to admit your "ruse" the moment you start looking really bad, and everyone's starting to gang up on you. Otherwise, it kinda just looks like you're trying to save face.
But if I don't admit my ruse, everyone is going to think I was serious.
Which is it Verbatim? Come out clean and say that its fake or have everyone on the site think you're some kind of cunt because of it?
The whole point is to make people think you're serious. When everyone starts getting pissy at you, you keep ramping it up until they're legit angry.
Its hard because I was about to lose some friends over it.

You gotta be kidding me bro. She's not going to cheat on you just because she's at some paradise island. Not more likely anyway.
You know it's bad when PSU has the most reasonable and non-bigoted reply in a thread

Can't tell if meme or not, but I've practiced white Magick for over a decade now. My best friend was the one who worked in the dark arts or "black Magick", so I had to learn how to counter balance what she was dabbling in at the time to keep her safe.
This isn't the good kind of crazy.
Not to sound edgy, but Christianity and Judiasm have plenty of components that require more "craziness" than this. Religion is religion.

This isn't real but I like the topic so I'll pretend it is. Pretty much she will be surrounded 24/7 by thousands of extremely attractive and wealthy individuals while being heavily intoxicated and probably on drugs. Not to mention 2 weeks is a long time and she's going with her friends that are guaranteed to engage in hoeish behavior. That influence alone will be enough. The environment in these places x vacation mindset will make her act very different even if she's super loyal. Anyone who says otherwise has no idea what they're talking about srs
People go to Ibiza for a reason
Unfortunately it is real and you have reignited my doubts. You describe my thoughts, but is there anyway to prevent this? Or even minimise risk?
What do you say to this SecondClass? Can you see now how hard is to presume good things when context?
I say that Jive has some kind of serious mommy issues and hates women. He literally thinks they're all sluts and drop any convictions or relationships they have when they see a "Chad".
Fuark
Seriously, ignore anything that comes out of that acccount. It's a borderline troll.
But he is giving good advice to me, he does not seem like troll?
If you think his advice is good, then you're already fucked

There's this crazy new thing in a relationship called "trust".
Of course but also given the context it is only natural that there will be doubt. One must be realistic. Many times you hear of story of these things happening on party isalnd, spiked drinks etc. You can see documentary of people drink too much and decision making skills go away.
Trust important yes, but also must not be naive.
No, you have to be naive in this situation. If you honestly think that she might cheat on you, then that's not a healthy relationship. You have to trust her completely, and if she chooses to violate that trust, then it wasn't a good relationship to begin with.
