Attention all British people: Flee is in great danger and he needs your help to wipe out the Brexiters out of United Kingdom, but to do this he needs an equipment for quality streaming and a few Twitch subscribers. To help him, all he needs is your credit card number, the three digits on the back, and the expiration month and year. But, you gotta be quick, so Flee can destroy Brexiters with FACTS and LOGIC!

it's worth reinforcing that flee should NOT click any of these spoiler tags, and that if you're going to post something in a spoiler tag, make sure it's an actual spoiler so it's not confusing
Spoiler misato's like, "what's wrong? it's not like i'll be putting the moves on him,"
*proceeds to try to didle him TWICE before the end*
Spoiler true, and that's how i interpret those scenes too, but
TECHNICALLY
they're still up for interpretation + misato and shinji have been through a fuckload of shit by that point
i think there's a tragic irony to how that innocent joke at the beginning ends up becoming reality down the line, just because it shows you how mentally broken the characters have become
an irony that i hope isn't completely lost on flee, if he ever makes it to that point in the show Spoiler I really can relate to Misato

STEP 5:
Stop throwing in random English words. I get this is supposed to be cool or something in Japan, but ugh. Just please don't.
(Damn, we're only 5 steps in and anime would already be a shit ton better if Miyazaki would just listen to reason)
That's actually pretty interesting.
And scary

Step 1:

I don't know who came up with this or thought it was in any way funny, entertaining or anything other than just horribly unnerving, but this needs to go. The crazy faces / reactions / small bodies / movements when a character gets upset. Don't know if it has an official name or whatever but this ain't it.
It's cheap to make
Yeah, I figured it was just about costs.
Yes. Half of the time anime isn't an original work, but an adaptation of something else, in which case anime serves as an advertisement to the source material and usually you don't put much money into advert. Also, most of japanese writers/developers didn't aim toward audience outside of Japan until recently.

Miyazaki/Ghibli don’t make those faces though.
Also, watch Eva.
Evangelion?
Yes
Hmm, maybe. The robots look pretty lame compared to the Gundam ones though. Too skinny and arms too long, 3/10 design.
There's like a million Evangelions though. Where do I start?

I should do a thread where I review anime and tell the animes how they can actually make their shows tolerable.
You tell them.

I'm also slightly afraid that there aren't anything enjoyable left in store for you in anime.
Also what are you busy with right now?
playing new games (i have a project going where i'm trying to play the debut game of every character in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate), going to the gym, listening to new music (still trying to work on that 1995 albums project), school's starting up soon, general life stuff, and all of this with me trying to get my first novel written in the background
oh, i know, i could watch the rebuilds
Hmm, glad to hear that it goes well for you! Honestly thought it would be worse. Also school? How much years left for you to graduate?
barring shenanigans, i shouldn't have more than three semesters to go, two if i'm very lucky with scheduling
most seniors can kinda just kick back and relax if they were good students who knew how to use their time properly, but i wasn't, so i have to work very hard unfortunately
Yikes, I see. I end university at the end of this year and get my useless masters degree, hope that I won't waste this time and that I will manage to put enough effort into getting everything done. I hope that I don't take too much of your time. What will your novel be about?

i want to jump back in as well, but i'm doing way too many other things atm
Fuck, I'm spreading a disease. why does everything have to be so time-consuming
There won't be any extra time, but even if there would be, would you really spent time watching anime and not doing something else?
