The Flood / Re: Transgenderism Is A Mental Disease
« on: March 17, 2016, 04:36:31 PM »
Explain the crippling depression and high suicide rates from the non-transitioning trans community.

Furthermore, regardless of what you want to call gender dysphoria, mental illnesses are completely normal. One in four adults can be diagnosed with some form of a mental illness. There's been at least 20 people in this thread, so on average at least five of us are "mentally ill" in some way.

But, that is a literal problem, to hampers your quality of life, therefore, if the means are available to fix said problem, good, Wanting to be another Gender is not a Health problem in its self, you can live with that.

I read through all the recent posts and this stuck out quite a bit.

Is there any reason why people seem to think the quality of a forum is directly proportional to its activity? At least, that's how this sentence came across because supposedly drama = shit posting. News flash: every forum has drama and if anyone tries to say that isn't true about X forum they simply never saw it when it was more apparent, or it hasn't happened yet.

As of now, there isn't much drama because, by the looks of it, there appears to be a lack of activity for the most part.

The narcissist in me says Hell yes.

The realist in me goes "Eh, could be worse. This ain't too bad."

That means nothing, assumptions don't do anyone any good.

Trump is more unpopular than Bill Cosby and anyone who's not in the far right absolutely hates him.

Make me.

God it's douchey to talk like something in politics is 100% going to happen when there's not even any statistics to make the argument for it yet.

because when Hillary wins she'll probably go far more liberal.

Well tbh fam I can give you like four different reasons as to why I refer to our planet as a star, all equally fair. However at the end of the day, the main reason for using the term is just to put emphasis on what I'm trying to say.

then how come the last time I brought it up that's what you said >:(

No, I told you my reasoning which has nothing to do with Venus.

your exact reasoning is because primitive astronomers named Venus the morning star,

I already know this.

but they were wrong.

Planets are not stars any more than the moon is a planet.

It's not in reference to Venus. It's reference to our sun's light reflecting off us.

Despite erroneous nomenclature in reference to Venus, planets are not stars.

As if it takes any real thought to figure out why. I like picking on users like Ender simply because despite having a little sister, I never got along with her well enough to tease her (and never will) yet it still comes natural to me.

RIP Ender January(?) 2011 - March 2016

Why do some of you have an obsession with Ender?
Hey, I fixed that for you.

Serious / Re: Justify democracy.
« on: March 16, 2016, 07:15:40 AM »
Drivers licenses was just an example on people's opinion on smaller governments. It is an issue I have heard brought up because people don't like the "irrationality" of different states having different rules for their tests. From what I've gathered during election years, people seem to blatantly ignore their local governments. No one seems to care about any certain issue as far as state/city side go. Whenever an issue is brought up (let's say the death penalty), everyone just wants it blanketed under the federal government's power. Either they live in an area where their opinion is a minority and as such want to circumvent it, or they think that their opinion reflects reflects that of an entire country and should be changed accordingly.

We were given smaller governments such as state, city, and county side for more control from us, yet voters seem to want to be part of a system that offers less control and they throw the biggest temper tantrum when their side doesn't hold complete power.

I'm pretty sure a lot of people would falsely believe federalizing driver's licenses would somehow be a good thing.
Why is that? I don't care or hold an opinion either way, but I'm just curious.

A democratic republic that is branched into smaller regions (The US) is good, it's when people try to nullify the power of the smaller regions where it starts to go to Hell. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would falsely believe federalizing driver's licenses would somehow be a good thing.

I personally hate being in a grey area, however I understand that you are by no means some sort of "item" after one or two dates (Dates I define as spending more than two hours alone together with the sole purpose of spending time together). At the end of the third one, I'd ask my potential partner if they would like to continue what we've been doing and if so if they would mind if it was under the term of a committed relationship. I mean, if I made it to the third date I'm clearly doing something right.

Too bad I'm not in the position to ask out Senpai.
