It's not it only takes five minutes at most, but I'm not cooking savvy so I always need more in depth instructions.

You take way to much time to make a goddamn grilled cheese

It's not a gormet meal

Well do you cook the ham?

What I do is fry the ham in a separate pan while the first piece of bread is being toasted on another pan, I put butter on the pan itself because I always end up carving/shredding the bread if I try to apply it to the bread. After the bread is cooked I throw shredded cheese on there and then the cooked ham followed by a little bit more cheese before putting the other piece of bread on top and flip it over.

Toast some bread and cheese and put butter and ham on it

Don't worry, the teared up chair will be going byebye when I recover from the costs of the new build.

Instead of getting two extra monitors you should have gotten a new chair instead. That tear in it is so ugly and noticeable.

Funny story about they keyboard.

When my brother first built his computer, one of the things he would not budge on was all green LEDs everywhere. Every fan in his case had green LEDs and he got two green LED sticks to stick in there, and when it came time to get a keyboard he went with the green LED Razor keyboard. Now, one thing a computer can do right off the bat is: Tell time. There's a little clock right there in the corner, and he always played FFXIV windowed with me (the game also has the clock of the server you're on and we both played on Gilgamesh so the server clock matched our computer clocks). He always had his iPhone with him (also can tell time), and lastly he had a clock right above his deck.

So he had four different instances at any given point that could tell him the time. He ends up giving me the Razor keyboard and got himself some new $200 keyboard. This new keyboard had blue LEDs so I ask him why he would throw away his all green LED keyboard and destroy his green machine harmony for it, and then he points to a little screen on the top of the keyboard and says "dude, this keyboard can tell me the time!"

Ayyy, nice keyboard

The Flood / Re: Why am I banned from serious

You will have to link me the thread because you get see intentions or implied hostility based on how you type something.

Quote
Calling someone a racist isn't necessarily being hostile.

You're going to get that with every forum, that's just human interpretation on what is supposed to be standard. One of the smaller forums I visit/lurk is a forum for discussion on Evangelion. It's a niche forum with an ever so small fnabase yet their forum has the same moderation problem you are facing. Just today I got a thread locked there because of an "attitude problem".

Rules can be set in stone but their interpretation can be up for debate. When you're posting on the internet and not talking face to face, it's hard to tell what exactly the other person is really thinking because you can't see any sort of cues for it, you're just reading text on a screen. TL;DR: Human error fucks things up.

I have a feeling that explanation would differ by each mod. Sometimes posts are edited, sometimes there's a ban involved, and often things are just ignored unless something is as forward as "fuck you". You guys frequently ignore intent over message. Charlie attacked the guy's character and you don't care, but he responds in kind and gets a ban. It's just a day, no big deal, but still, no need to be quippy when it's obvious moderation is anything but standardized.

That gets you banned? I mean, if someone calls you something and you respond with the implied same level of hostility, it's pretty stupid to only ban one party.

I think you told someone to go fuck themselves for implying you're racist.

That's some pretty low standards for an individual like you tbh fam.

anyone who could put up with my shit tbh

Sometimes it's better to have someone who might not have the same interests. Gets you to try new things, gets you out of your comfort zone (I know I'm the last person that should be making this claim).

Quote
Because like, beyond being able to have a civil conversation, isn't there certain interests you should share with a person you date?

OT: I dunno, over the years my biggest requirement basically boiled down to: No fatties and I feel I was being reasonable in bending the curve as to what counted as "overweight" considering the fact I myself am not really fat, I certainly ain't not body builder either. However, recent events in the last two and a half months or so has scrambled my viewpoint like eggs over what I want/look for in a partner, so I guess in reference to my previous comment about getting out of your comfort zone, I feel I'm being thrown out the window by force (not that in this situation it's a bad thing).

The Flood / BD Drive problems.
« on: February 20, 2016, 01:22:47 PM »
So I just finished my brand new build, but one thing is driving me crazy. The BD drive and getting its firmware update. I need to install the latest firmware (which for this model was four years ago) in order to play movies on the computer, but as soon as I run the setup, nothing happens. The icon appears for a split second on the task bar then disappears and nothing continues to happen.

I don't want to have to pay money for software that I should have gotten for free on the disc but the installer refuses to open up. I don't know what to do.

Why not nuke the US?

But yeah, the US is up there. I'd even say way up there.

The Flood / Re: I think I'm incapable of asking for help.
« on: February 18, 2016, 08:16:39 PM »
Councilors are good for that sort of thing. You literally just pay them to listen to you and they offer advice, or not, depends on what you want. They have no other purpose then to listen and maybe provide feedback. Sometimes you don't want or even need communication from a listeners part. A little over a year ago some girl fucked me up bad so I went to a councilor for a few months and just having her listen to my melodrama helped me move on and do better in my life.

...or it's just really hard for me. The type of help I'm talking about is actually going and telling someone that I feel really sad, and... I don't know, just upset all the time. Like someone could offer their ear but I won't take them up on it even if I need it.
