What's wrong with it being a basic human right?

you have the legal right, based on the US constitution

legal rights are not basic human rights, which is what chakas was specifically asking about, and what my answer was referring to

God I love Wojak.

>YFW you realize I do have a right to a weapon and it's not a privilege

Now we can argue about whether or not that should be a privilege over a right, but I just wanted to have some fun over your comment. I don't really care whether it should be or not, I don't own any weapons.

I saw this earlier and I don't see why people are even bringing this up. These are two completely different subjects. And declaring porn a public health risk doesn't really do jack shit. Cigarettes and Alcohol are health risks and the only thing preventing people from getting those is their age.

>resolution to officially declare porn a public health risk introduced the same day
>ACCEPTED because porn is super dangerous you know?

The Flood / Re: Interview Questions
« on: February 18, 2018, 11:18:27 AM »
Depending on how large the company is, it's pretty standard. Disney does it which leads to people making acquaintances with the management team ahead of time everywhere, very nepotistic and I hate it.

Shit stain I work with got what was coming to her cause of that, she had an interview for one of the parks and she knew the management team there, but her interviewer was someone completely different and flat out denied her. She was all smug about it in between too, she was saying that the weekend was her last weekend with us and now she's stuck here with us and I might get an interview next week.

Yeah for whatever reason they do a formal interview process for the promotions... idk

Ah you are correct, it's been awhile since I last researched anything on this subject so I'll just take your word on that. However I could've swore there are official places that don't use the six million figure but I'm too lazy to dig for them.

After Googling this for all of 30 seconds, I think you may be referring to a list of confirmed names which totals around 2 million, whereas the actual memorial recognizes 6 million Jews.

The Flood / Re: Are special effects special anymore?
« on: February 17, 2018, 12:12:18 AM »
They are.

I'm a huge fan of cinema and I love behind-the-scenes documentaries. The problem nowadays is that they just CGI the fuck out of everything, and no matter how detailed they get it's noticeable as fuck. When it's not a character the CGI might not even be necessary to look realistic.

For example, in Empire Strikes Back they didn't have enough fiber optics for Vader's Super Star Destroyer. They used fiber optics in the ships to show activity inside. A ship like the Millenium Falcon only needs a few lights because it was a skeleton crew of maybe three or four; a capital ship however has thousands of people working inside it, so they need hundreds of lights darted all over the "hull". What they ended up doing for Vader's ship was poke numerous holes through the "hull" while detailing the ship and they had two giant lamps inside the ship on each side to get the same effect. Of course it's not noticeable and looks just as good as the Star Destroyers that appear in Rogue One.

There are other examples like all the suited up characters in the Marvel movies; The Infinity War trailer was really fucking bad with its CGI but they're probably still doing touch ups. But it really kills the "movie magic" if you will, because why innovate and come up with new ways of achieving a good visual when you can just computer animate everything?

I recommend watching CinemaTyler's Youtube series on making 2001: A Space Odyssey, because that is a perfect example of special effects back in the day, and how different it is to now.

I'm not seeing a mass hysteria over bread shortages here in Capitalist America.

What I am seeing is hysteria over toilet paper and juice box shortages in Venezuela which wants to redistribute them in the same way communism would.

it literally means the exact opposite

Yes because being able to afford bread means we have plenty of it and I can buy other shit with left over money because competitive markets keeps that bread's price super low. I for one enjoy going down the cereal aisle at my local Public and being able to choose whatever cereal I want from plenty of brands and types, based solely on my preference because the prices are so damn low I don't even need to contemplate it.

having to afford bread appeals to you?

I love TIG, and my intention wasn't to mock TIG but to mock the fact that it's just another pop culture 80s/90s reference in a movie that's just a sea of pop culture references.

Don't unironically mock The Iron Giant like this ever again or I will end you

I know this is a slightly older post, but I find it funny how the holocaust memorial in Israel lists the death count at around 2 million jews, yet questioning the 6 million figure in the countries around Germany can lead to some trouble with the law. I know it sounds incredibly fucking edgy, but the truth really doesn't fear investigation and when you have the Jewish state of Israel providing a number radically different than others (and even the others aren't super equal to each other), it wouldn't hurt to look further in to it.

Im not 100% convinced the Holocaust happened

I can't even tell why Chally and Verb are arguing in this thread. Charlie, it's probably nothing but good on you for getting it checked out. Ninety-nine times out of a hundred you're going to know what's wrong with your body long before needing to see a doctor, but you only get one life and it's better safe than sorry.

My father had chest pains, he never got it checked because he was stupid about his health. Turns out it was cancer that has spread throughout his body. He died because he never got off his lazy ass and checked on it (and continued his shitty lifestyle). Now he had it coming because he was obese, and drank, and smoked, but from what I gather you're nothing like that so I wouldn't worry too much.

I liked it a lot by capeshit standards and even marvel standards. Probably one of the best origin movies.

Personally, I found the movie very generic & cookie cutter. While the way it handled the tone was far better than the previous recent movies (Spiderman & Thor 3), it was also very cliche and predictable. Also they beat the political messaging a little too hard. I mean, there isn't anything wrong with being predictable, hence why I gave it the score I did. However, some cliches really bogged the movie down like the final battle sequence. There wasn't that many female warriors compared to the male ones yet halfway through they had equal forces before the ape/mountain tribe came. And that whole sequence took away from Black Panther vs. Killmonger which I felt was too short.

tbf in the comics they’re supposed to be an “ape” tribe compared to the panther tribe. The movie kind of swept that under the rug lol.

Yeah it seemed like they didn't want to correlate the two, hence why they refer to them as the tribe of the mountains, however they kind of half-assed it and made the whole thing with them kinda subtlety racist.

I heard about this scene before seeing the movie and thought it was just a joke. When they actually started hooting like gorillas I couldn't believe it.

I think my favourite part was where the tribe of huge black dudes started unironically barking at the white guy so that he couldn't speak.

Did any black people stand up and raise their fists at the end?

The seifuku was for Halloween 2014. There isn’t really much else to the story other than other weeb friends also doing it and the scarf/collar was frustrating.

As for general cross dressing, I can’t really give you a good (satisfactory?) answer on that. I’m not going to try and say it’s not weird, which is why I prefer not to talk about it face to face/voice chat. However I do find the reaction to it unusual since I’m certainly not the only one on here who has done it.

ian is just a weird guy

i'm not sure if this is something he still does, did frequently, or was a one-off thing that makes more sense in context

but he is known to have dressed up as a japanese schoolgirl before, for fun, and neither less than nor equal to zero times

The Flood / Re: stockings, pantyhose or leggings?
« on: February 14, 2018, 08:48:28 AM »
Leggings: Slightly thicker than hosiery, it’s supposed to be worn with bottoms, but most girls treat them like pants. They’re in between pants and tights in terms of thickness.

Stockings: Like tights/pantyhose but they’re a pair of socks instead of one whole piece.

Tights/Pantyhose: One whole thin piece that covers the whole area from waist to toe. Not very thick but super tight so it does it’s job of keeping the legs warm.

t. Owns all three types. Tights are the superior option

Literally what is the difference

OT: I didn't leave with a bang, it was more of me getting kicked off the site by a power abusing mod who wanted to make the place his political hugbox.

that thread DeeJ made was interesting. dude talks about enforcing the code of conduct, but allows some guy to spam the thread to bury any dissenting opinions.
