Basically. I use it in the same vein as the word "villain", or "enemy". You wouldn't describe yourself as evil, but you'd describe your enemies as evil. All they needed was a fucking--I mean, anything. They could've gave some shitty excuse, like, "Oh, his daddy beat him up as a kid." And that would've been like, oh, okay. That's a lame-ass fucking excuse, but at least it's something.

And hell, I haven't played the damn game, so I don't even really know anything about the main character's backstory or whatever. If he has any. So I feel bad for censuring this game so harshly with only having seen the trailer for it, but that's just the thing--they ought to have put more in the trailer.

But, as someone mentioned earlier, they did it on purpose. Making the trailer as violent and as edgy as possible generated a lot of buzz, which is exactly what they wanted. Which, to me, is evil in itself. Manipulating people to generate buzz around your game, make it popular, make it known, so they can chicanerously sell more copies. We'll have a bunch of people who will play the game to see how bad it is, or if it's as bad as it looked in the trailer, rather than people who were genuinely interested in the game to begin with. It's bullshit. It's bullshit, and I fucking hate it.

That should be reason enough not to get the game, but people will anyway. Because we suck.
