carson and jive

9396
You've been doing that for years
YouTube

9397
This thing is not about forcing myself to post more in general though, correct?
It's just about posting stuff I was already typing up.
exactly

9398
Most of the time it's either because I don't know the person at all and don't want to waste time and energy on arguing with them, or I realize that what I was about to say actually is stupid or pointless.
POST IT ANYWAY

nah man this is a standard keyboard

okay, so we have this giant, impossible-to-miss enter key with a lot of space between it and the backspace key

whereas on an average-size phone, my finger is literally too large to not press the two keys at once unless i'm surgically fucking careful

maybe i don't wanna have to play operation just to fix a little typo i ma--OOPS it's already sent in its incomplete state
but they're next to each other
that's the point
the point of me saying "they're next to each other" on phones is that if i'm trying to hit backspace, i might accidentally hit enter

i've NEVER EVER EVER EVER done that on any keyboard i've ever used in my entire life

and i have scrawny fingers
Scrawny fingers are good for hitting smaller buttons, like on phones...
yeah, you would THINK

i'm making the point that, even with my small fingers, i still can't do it--the keys are still too small

lol I dont have a laptop, I use my phone for pretty much everything

why is it so bad in your eyes? its literally a smaller computer
i feel like i've given a lot of reasons already

part of it is the vapid, soulless culture surrounding them ("my phone is better than ur phone" ugh suck my dick)
part of it is their relatively poor design and user interface
part of it is the total stranglehold they have on some people's lives
part of it is mild jealousy over having access to 4G while i don't
part of it is how generally obnoxious and noisy they are--it triggers me just seeing one, tbh

also, whenever i make a large detailed thread here--like a game review--the way i format it is always under the assumption that the reader is reading it from a computer, and not a phone

so all my hard work making it look nice for PC users is wasted, because it's gonna look completely different on mobile
I mean i have a phone and I dont do most of those things
verb is just a butthurt sheltered child
you're more likely to be sheltered if your life revolves around your phone, which in your case, i'm sure it does
nah fam, sorry but I have a life
very very doubtful

i also like how they often place the enter key right next to the backspace key, wow that's really intelligent guys
You mean like a standard keyboard?
uh no absolutely nothing like a standard keyboard

there's a fucking backslash key in between them, and they're two fingers spaces apart

whereas i can cover a phone's entire keyboard with two fucking fingers

there's also something about their tiny-ass screens that hugely takes away from my experience, personally

also, i read and write a lot, and those aren't really things that can be done optimally on a phone either

i could see a phone complimenting your laptop, but some people use their phones exclusively for this shit

the idea makes me physically ill

How do you know if someone's connection with their phone mates isn't as intimate as your online connections with people?
i don't know, you got me i guess

i wanna say that it's different, but i'm not sure if that's completely honest

i like how modern phones just have weird symbols for buttons, and you're just supposed to know what they do, otherwise you're just out of touch

i also like how they often place the enter key right next to the backspace key, wow that's really intelligent guys

i also like how they have 4G even though my fucking laptop DOESN'T--WHY

i like the sheer versatility of emojis, but the only reason i dislike them is because it reminds me that most people use PHONES

UGH
What's wrong with using phones?
I don't really use mine, but that's mostly because it doesn't behoove my (slow) march towards shunning human contact. I don't see why it would be a problem for everyone else.

the ultimate symbol of idiocracy: a Gen Z-er staring down at his or her phone 24/7

they're the most impersonal pieces of shit to ever exist

and the more people use them, the more socially unacceptable it becomes to not own or use one

I'm still here pretty much for the same reasons I started posting on Bnet nearly eight years ago: Came for the trolling, stayed for the cool people. I never left because I've yet to be given a reason to. It's too much fun, and half my friends are here, so simply leaving for no particular reason doesn't really sit right with me.

If this place "dies," I'm sure most of us will keep in touch through other means such as Steam or Discord--or at least, I would hope. It sounds nicer than totally disconnecting. I've never been a huge fan of that idea.

That said, the forum will last as long as we want it to.

it also would've been less audacious
But what's the fun in that? :^)
I was going to admonish you for unveiling the ruse, but considering the crowd, I think it might be justified  :P
i thought she just meant that the title was clickbait, not that the entire thread was a ruse
