Well, sure, but why the fuck do you need a quiz and a compass to tell you the general outlook of your politics? You need to know that anyway before you take the test. Well, there are degrees of generality. You can have an incredibly nebulous or roundabout sense of where you stand politically, but maybe you want something a little bit more concrete, or a little bit less general—these tests provide that adequately. Maybe you don't know what "libertarian" means, and reading about them doesn't help you understand. To that end, I'd say they're mostly for people who are just stepping into the politisphere. I don't take them seriously at all. Have you read PolCom's FAQs? The creators are the ones who take it too seriously.
Actually, reading their FAQ is what led me to understand that they don't take it that seriously.

Compasses are a bad way of determining actual political positioning, anyway. They can't sufficiently account for nuance or syncretism.
Well, no, it's just your job to interpret the questions properly. If you get hung up on how a question is worded rather than reading between the lines and understanding what is being asked, then of course you're not going to be satisfied with your result.oh wait you're talking about the result itself, i'm doing many things at once here uhhhh sure? but i would argue that compasses aren't designed to determine your actual political positioning, it's more of a general guideline you people take them too seriously when they're obviously not meant to be

Shouldn't you have a pretty good idea of where you stand anyway?

You guys are all fucking retarded for even talking about this.
They removed all google and facebook login options, now it's just XBL and PSN. So if you sell someone your b.net account you're selling them your gamertag, and all the games you've ever bought.
again i don't see why i wouldn't take them up on it

Yes, people have been offering for a while. I've had three myself. I would sooner destroy the account permanently then sell it so some Nu-Bungie fanboy can stroke his dick to a fucking avatar in Destiny.
idk, seems like a fair trade to me i mean honestly if someone wanted to buy an account to a website that i don't use, why would i pass up such a quick and easy opportunity for some cash my account is probably worth thousands

But has Nintendo fixed it's shitty online?
i mean naturally, the idea is that they'll use the profits gained from this to improve the service
which is not to say that they couldn't have done so with the money they already have, but whatever
Yeah, it's really bad marketing to (essentially) say "Pay $20 for a bad service and we'll make it better afterward!", while sitting in a money-filled room counting their benjamins.
i don't even think it's that bad tbh i've been playing mario kart 8 online a lot, and the lag is pretty minimal but i'm also rather forgiving so idk

Titanfall 2 is my favourite shooter in years.
Did you play mission 5?
i just played the first two, but i liked it enough to ask him to bring over his xbone again later
Awesome.
You gonna do a review/ Verb Plays... thread? I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on the campaign and multiplayer (if you end up trying it)
maybe what annoys me is that the original titanfall is not available on any good platforms

This makes me want to get in on PC too. I feel like I would be really quite good at it.
what i dig the most about it is how it emphasizes finesse and relatively high APM gameplay, which tends to be on the lower end with your typical generic shooters the weapons are neat too

I had a bunch of these—the translations were always hilariously bad.
One of them said that Wurmple's evolution line went Wurmple -> Silcoon -> Beautifly -> Cascoon -> Dustox.

That's both impressive and sad, and I'm not sure which I feel more.
it's not even finished, despite having been worked on since 2008 it has 200 something chapters, and the author plans to double that

I actually had a lot of fun during my senior year of high school. I kinda miss that time.
It was no elementary school, but it beat the hell out of the first three years and the entirety of middle school.
My graduation was really bittersweet—I didn't like having to say goodbye to these people I've known for 12+ years.

Yeah. I'm confused as to whether you can keep the games you get, though.

Awesome. $20 for a whole year is excellent.
No it's not awesome. I am entitled to have free online services and any online service you got to pay for is objectively shit even if it's proven to be better than a free service.
Yes.

there are millions of athletes and only a small handful of them will ever experience the joy of winning losing is a good thing
Not when people drive themselves into depression over it. When I was a sophomore in high school, there was a star athlete—captain of the football team, actually—who carried his team all the way to the state championships, becoming a hero of the entire school—and then he lost. How do you think he reacted? Well, he didn't train harder. He didn't tell himself "better luck next year." He killed himself. If that's the sort of situation that people put themselves in after losing a stupid game of football, I'm always going to be ardently opposed to its existence, and no one is ever going to change my mind.

what the fuck lmao
Is that what you think boxing is? That IS what boxing is. I guess you're just not a competitive person. I'm extremely competitive—why do you think I argue with people on the Internet so much? I'm just smart enough to exert that competitive energy in ways that aren't physically harmful, like video games. If I had a competitive e-sports scene for Street Fighter or some other competitive game that I play, I'd be way in there. But like I said, I'm just too smart to invest in contact sports. They won't even exist in a hundred years. Says you, the guy who has never played sports and acts like a basketball murdered his whole family. I don't need to play sports to know that there's nothing to gain by playing them. I just have to observe. Professional athletes get fame and fortune that they don't deserve when they win. Everyone else loses and eats shit. They spent years and years working the court, working the court, working the court, just to sprain their ankle so badly that their entire career is over, when they would've just lost anyway. Fantastic. That's just rude. The worst part is you don't even have a point to make and the world would definitely be worse off without sports. Whatever dude. If you don't like sports that's fine but you run around like you're the authority on every issue when you have such little life experience. You don't take into account how other people feel, you don't even seem to care. So what's the purpose in getting rid of sports? Making life even more miserable?
do you know how miserable people are when they lose there are millions of athletes and only a small handful of them will ever experience the joy of winning and it's a stupid thing to be happy about anyway—you didn't cure cancer, you didn't invent anything useful, you didn't solve a murder mystery, you just kicked a ball into a fucking net fucking worthless

pffthahaha come on dude Barring the obvious fact that exploiting poor people by pitting them against each other like dogs for cheap entertainment is obviously terrible, do you happen to know anything about boxing? Why not? If they consent and enjoy it, what's the problem? because it's stupid to consent to things that hurt you it just is this isn't a moral issue, it's an intelligence issue Depends on the situation. I know you'd agree, too, so there's no point making statements like this. pain should always be avoided if there's nothing to gain in sports, there is nothing to gain Yeah it does. People that enjoy watching sports might not enjoy something else and this provides that entertainment for them. then they're idiots, simple as that

Getting hurt is a part of life. Boxing is a sport that requires people getting hurt. boxing should be outright banned getting hurt is a part of life, that doesn't mean you should play a sport where getting hurt is part and parcel pain should always, ALWAYS be avoided Why not?
because it contributes absolutely nothing valuable to society other than meaningless entertainment that can be accessed literally anywhere else
