reminder

he was a good, entertaining, and funny character with a fleshed out character arc
He was poorly executed cringy comic relief who couldn't decide what his role in the franchise was.

There's having a character arc, and then there's unfocused writing, the two are quite different.
even mike stoklasa (the guy who everybody gets their opinions on star wars from) admits that he had a character arc
"everybody gets their star wars opinions from one guy"

then how come everybody disagrees about everything dumbass
why are there 30,000 denominations of christianity
because not everybody gets their opinions from the pope
they get them from a book

plinkett reviews are basically the bible for star wars fanboys and spectrumites

Can you elaborate upon how this? I did state the only current issue is that many devices cannot perform it as of now.
There are movies that are shot in a low resolution on purpose, because the director is going for a particular aesthetic.

In this case, having a higher resolution would look worse.

For something to be OBJECTIVELY better than something, it must be better in all conceivable scenarios. If you can think of one scenario where having a lower res would be better, than high-res cannot be objectively better.

Quote
Are you playing for the "cinematic experience", then?
No, I'm simply conceding that some people might like a choppy aesthetic when playing video games.

his head penises are clipping through his body (along with his clothes but i already mentioned that)

his eyes are unfocused as shit

his cg stands out against the rest of the shot

his design just sucks in general

he looks like he's from toy story, but worse because of the contrast
i don't see any "head penises" let alone anything clipping into his body

his eyes look fine

he doesn't stand out at all

and he doesn't look like he's from toy story at all—you're reaching pretty hard here

4k is objectively better than 1080p.
false

4K is an objectively larger number than 1080, but that doesn't make it objectively superior.

If you like 4K more, that's just an opinion. If it were a fact, then it would be impossible to enjoy any other resolutions as much.

Even 1p—one fucking pixel—could theoretically be superior to 4K.

Quote
Except it is better. The game caps off at 30fps, but at a good amount of the time it fails to reach that.  We're not comparing the smoothness of 60fps to 120. Sub 30 is pretty choppy.
Same logic here.

Maybe I like choppy.

Quote
4k is objectively better if you are capable of running it.
Wrong.

The battle between the Gungans and Droids is severely outdated and looks like complete shit. Not even the Blu Ray version can make it look good.
still holds up better than anything in the OT
Practical effects > digital effects
yes, but the practical effects still have to be good

they're not in star wars

asking individuals that question is stupid anyway

if 99.9999% of people loved their life and .0001% didn't, then life isnt worth it

nonexistence is perfect so for you to take the proactivity to deny that perfection and bring upon an existence, that existence needs to also be perfect. And any universe that even allows suffering as a possibility/concept isn't perfect.
But, like, couldn't the .0001% just kill themselves and we could go on living a blessed life?
Not if you want to do it in the most peaceful, humane, painless, hassle-free, legal, and monetarily free way possible.
But certainly worth all those feel goods.
Not when it results in the suffering of others because of their emotional attachments to you.

there are no good sitcoms and modern comedies in general don't make me laugh at all

this show's humor hinges primarily on digestible meta-humor, cheap pop culture references, lowest common denominator tripe

the entire cast—especially joel mchale, gillian jacobs, and ken jeong—cannot act and simply aren't funny

i like childish gambino's music at least
Always sunny tho
even worse

nobody has listed an actual advantage the PC has over the switch,
The newest Cemu build can run BOTW at 4k 30fps while the switch usually runs at 1080p with 25fps. :^)
immoral; discarded

even if it weren't immoral, 4K is not necessarily better than 1080 and higher frame rates not necessarily better than lower ones

also, botw's maximum resolution is 900p iirc

that's almost better than 4K just by virtue of it being a unique resolution

nobody has listed an actual advantage the PC has over the switch, barring long-term cost—which isn't even true, because if you don't mind buying games on a 2-3 year lag, you can get triple AAA games for less than $5 at a flea market

and yeah, the switch may only have one game at the moment (one of the few games in existence that's actually worth paying full price for), but that's already more games than the PC has, so

initially its going to cost a lot more than a console but vs console gaming is a lot cheaper and youd see that difference within a year
i mean, not if you know how to buy games for your console

e.g. not buying them new

If you could blow up the world with a flip of a switch, would you do it?
not if it was just the world
for all you know we're the first and only intelligent life fam
i'm aware of this and i've argued from this very position a number of times on this site

but i still wouldn't make a decision like that on a mere hunch

yes

I'd rather start again a million miles away as someone else. No point in starting over if you just make the same mistakes.
until you realize that no one else is any different
I am curious. When and how did you experience ego death?
i'm not sure if i have—i've had dreams where i may have experienced something similar to it, but i don't think experiencing "ego death" is necessary to understand the idea that our sense of "self" is ultimately illusory, and we're all here playing the same game together, and there's really not a great deal of difference between how we experience our individual lives

"Grey Delisle isn't Azula"

"Mako isn't Aku"

"Tom Kenny isn't Spongebob"

man verb is dumb
of course they're none of those characters

they're their voices

that's IT

even regular actors aren't their characters, but not only do they have the voice, they have their physical likeness as well, making them closer to their characters than any voice actor could be

not complicated

mark hamill is nowhere to be found in this image, and that is why he could never be the best joker
Two things

1. Keep your semantics to yourself. He provides the voice acting for the cartoon iteration of the Joker for almost every role, much like Kevin Conroy does for Batman (and he's read/seen everything with Batman, so he has a better grasp on his character than most).

2. I don't really care about your reasoning/arguments with the others. I'm giving my take on it. If you want to feel you're right and everyone else is wrong, I don't care. I've been down this route with you, and frankly I'd keep it to political discussions where things are less black and white and not rooted in your arbitrary reasoning where you drag people 10 pages on some asinine little thing you're hung up on.
and i'm just giving my take on your take, which is half the purpose of a forum

there's no reason to even bring hamill up in discussions of who the best joker is because of how different voice acting is from regular acting
