I don't think it necessarily has to do with textures or the like; D44M looks phenomenal and it's half the size of this. It's bad optimization, short and simple.
yeah, i guess you're right still, like LC said, games won't be getting any smaller—optimization helps, obviously, but it can only take you so far i wonder how far down you could squeeze a game like D44M to reach its optimum file size—without changing anything about the game itself of course
