simply put:
- i use the recent threads section on the front page to quickly check which threads have been posted in last
- one of the rules of this website is no spoilers
- anarchy doesn't have this rule
- anyone who scrolls down a little bit on the front page will still be able to see threads posted in anarchy with spoilers in the title, even if they're trying to avoid anarchy for this one very purpose
if there's a way to prevent this, it would be cool if it were implemented
i realize i could just not look down there, but it reduces functionality of the website for me and that's not cool

No one who worked on the movie is sitting in the theater where you're watching, the applause means absolutely nothing. It's kind of masturbatory, like giving yourself a pat on the back for sitting through a film.
Besides that I really don't mind it, just kind of silly.
i choose to view it as a simple form of communion or shared experience type thing, where you want to share your appreciation or excitement towards the film with your fellow audience members i think people realize that the filmmakers can't hear it, that's not really the point

SHIT news:
It seems as though Shitcom blew all their budget on that pretty-ass trailer, so now they have to recoup their funds.
So, starting in season 3, ALL the ways to grind FM offline will discontinue. That means if you haven't finished story mode (both difficulties), character intros, doing trials, viewing demonstrations, completing survival, etc. you will not be able to get FM from completing them as soon as Sakura is out.
Your character will still gain experience points from these things, which will in turn get you FM every time you level up, but in terms of just getting free FM for completing modes, that's not gonna be a thing anymore.
Sooo, I guess I'm gonna be grinding FM in SFV all month while I still can.
I haven't paid for a single DLC character yet, and I don't plan on starting. The grind just became a lot harder, is all.

It's forced, awkward, and annoying. I tried to watch Spartacus and the first episode had like 4 sex scenes in it and shit was annoying. You don't need to show me breasts to get my attention.
In terms of frequency, it's probably the same in HBO shows, yeah. And it's just as shitty. But I think the main difference is that HBO sex scenes aren't even sexy. Like, at all. It tends to be ugly. And sometimes, they can even be justified in the setting. that doesn't make them good or necessary, mind you but i'm personally a little bit less offended by western smut, just because it tends to be unsexy equal opportunity smut that isn't completely out of nowhere in the sense that, with the example of spartacus, people really did fuck like animals, because people really were animals during those times meanwhile, anime (and anime-inspired video games) do not even TRY to do any of that it's all about that SAO-style male power fantasy wish fulfillment bullshit, every single goddamn time
